Matt
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if you could help me with some advice. I have no
sewing experience! I am a therapist and love doing all kinds of play
therapy with children. I would really like to get into puppet
therapy, where you work with children to create their own puppets used
in play. I...

charity projects by
jes
My 8 yr. old granddaughter is beginning sewing. A couple of good
projects for her:
1. Pet blankets for the SPCA to give to animals. They get to keep the
blanket & take it to their new home, if adopted.
2. Dress stuffed animals for the highway patrol or police to give to
distressed children.

Need to know if velour can be shrunk by
[email protected]
Hi. I own a velour jogging suit that is a little too big for me. It
still looks okay when I wear it, but it is a bit on the baggy side. I
was wondering if any of you know if velour can be shrunk in the
wash/dryer? Thanks for any info.

Holy **** by
SteveB
I put a rule in my news reader that included the word "Gunner" and directed
it to delete all messages that had it in the subject line. I got about half
the normal amount of messages. I surely hope that I don't miss anything
important, but I doubt that.

Why is all this spam on this board by
[email protected]
Hi I'm Elizabeth and new to your board - also new to the quilting
board, but since I use to sew b/4 I quilted, I decided to introduce
myself here too.
Question: It appears there is more "trash" postings on this board than
on the quilting board. Does someone monitor this board or is it...

Sewing machine for canvas? by
Jeffrey P. Vasquez
Greetings all,
I would be infinitely appreciative of a recommendation for a consumer
sewing machine able to sew canvas. I am just looking to use it for boat
canvas repair and the odd cover now and then and am not looking to put
heavy hours on it.
Many thanks for you help! -jeffrey

tube tuners by
klh
what do you do when the length of material is too long to crunch onto
the tube turner?
and the diameter of the fabric is large enough for the tube but when you
start crunching it down, it stresses the seam and parts?
I using a serger to seam a piece of ribbon for a handle to a purse.

Saggy bottom by
MY WORD
Got your attention? Well here's the problem. I've lost a lot of weight
but still have to wear an 18 because of spots that have not shrunk much.
Part of that is my abdomen but I have no butt any more and the leg opening
of my new bathing suit just hangs open on the butt side.
Any suggestions on...
