New quilt shop by
Julia in MN
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I participated in a quilting retreat at a
nearby Bible camp. I've been going to these for several years and always
have a wonderful time.
One of the participants told us about a new quilt shop that had just
opened. It is called Quilter's Quarters and is located in Spring...

Please Help by
Lisa Fields
Thought maybe some of your more experienced quilters can help. I am trying
to knot a King size quilt I took it off the Frame yesterday and layed it on
my bed and it looks like I have pucker in the middle of the quilt. Where did
I go wrong?

Wool Crazy quilt?? by
WInomad
I'm writing again about a quilt I would like to start. This is my first
effort at making a pieced quilt. I have make several tied solid fabric
quilts but never attempted a pieced quilt. I want to make a wool pieced
quilt like the one my aunt had. It is similar to a crazy quilt , all the
shapes...

Just wanted to share with you all.
In the Newest Quilt album, there is only 1 pic, just starting a new album,
but I made a quilt for a special friend. As some of you know I had to stop
smoking because of a collapsed lung a couple months ago. Well...

looking for quilt block by
Bonnie
Hi,
Some time ago someone mentioned making a quilt from 2
blocks. One, contrary wife and two, ornery husband.
Contrary wife can be found almost everywhere, but I've not
been able to find ornery husband anywhere. Is this a real
block?

Painted my toenails by
Polly Esther
Ha. If anyone is going to get their knickers in a knot, this post is not OT.
I was having trouble seeing if the front toes of my sort of
horseshoe-shaped quilting foot were behaving or sneaking a toe up under an
appliqué or poking a toe inside a seam. I use this foot for stippling and
meandering,...

Delurking with a Question by
allyson brown
Hi all,
I'm a newbie, although I've been an infrequent chatter/reader of rctq in
past years!
I'm delurking (been reading again for a couple of weeks) to request your
suggestions for:
an intermediate skill level queen/king pieced quilt to do using mostly FQs
in retro 30's patterns for a "summer...

A couple of new pics by
Eli
I posted two new finished (small) projects.
The March BOM is a cut down version of the clovers in Anita Shakelford's
Folded Applique book. The binding is bad... I wrapped the back to the front
and bound it. The corners didn't miter correctly so I just didn't miter
them. :-)
The pink YBR quilt...

Update on Dad by
Heather Cross
Just a quick note to let you know how my DF is getting along.
Well last week he signed himself out of hospital. I guess that means he is
much improved cos he's getting his stubborn/ornery streak back. But its
frustrating knowing that when he is at home he doesn;t eat properly, drinks
too much and...

Yippee! New Sewing Machine by
Donna Maine
Hi all,
Usually just lurk but couldn't wait to tell someone about my new Bernina

I'm loving it already. We just moved to La. a few months ago and I didn't
know anyone here so headed to the quilt/Bernina shop and they were...

It's that time again........... by
CNYstitcher
I *HAD* to clean out the fabric/pattern cabinet so that I could put my
recent acquisitions away, and I have a bunch of fabric that needs to
find new homes. Some are FQs, some are smaller scraps, some are even
pieced blocks that were sent when I was requestion navy/burgundy/forest
green fabrics...

Shop Hop question by
SusanTorrens
The Pasco County shop hop, that I just attended was free.
There is another one in the central Florida area coming up that charges $5 to
register.
Is this a common practice?
I would think that they would make enough from the sales on the shop hop days.
I know that I bought something in every shop...

...I thought I'd let you know how it went!
Friday was a mad dash up the A1 - we left late because a work email DH

We had about 6 1/2 hours driving and the traffic was nasty. Still. we

Squished! by
Hanne Gottliebsen
Since I moved (2 months ago now! Still no wardrobe...) I've been
squished numerous times - and I owe several returns (basically, when I
find my fabric, I can't find the cutter or don't have a flat surface for
the mat or whatever, but I will get there).
The squishies (sp?) were all wonderful,...
