Query regarding fabric requirements to turn a wall hanging into a lap quilt... by - dlm.
Hello! Years ago, I started what I expected to be a large wall hanging. This UFO colour study is 45 inches wide by 56 inches long. I would like to turn it into a decent sized lap quilt for my eldest child's dorm room. I know that I would like it to have two borders. I like the look of a thin...

titanium needles by Judie[_3_]
I've been using titanium needles for a while now and find they last a lot longer and the stitching looks better. Although I don't have topstitching needles but just titanium versions of regular ball point and sharp needles. Judie in Penfield NY

titanium needles by Taria
Anyone use the titanium topstitch needles? Any reports on whether they are good, bad or just not worth the bother? I am getting to the point where my sewing room has been tweaked and maybe moving towards some quilting! Taria

Does anyone own the John Flynn Multi-Frame System? by - dlm.
Just popped 'round John Flynn's site to find the quilt backing formula that 'Sally at the Seaside' recommended. I noticed that the multi-frame system has a relatively reasonable price-point and can be used for both hand and MQing. I've never gotten used to MQing anything larger than a placemat...

OT sort of but sewing question rugs by Janner
OK, about a year ago, maybe longer I bought a woollen floor rug at a charity sale. The edge binding is worn in places, so needs covering. Today I found bargain bias binding for 60 cts for 5 metres instead of 2 euros, so have bought loads! OK, what I thought was, if I use this to re-bind the...

Fun time this morning! by amy in SoCal
Glad to see you safely back at home. Vacations can be exhausting. My sister came for 10 days, we had a blast! Did all sorts of Chic-stuff. But I will tell you, I was so glad for the extra day off after. I was pooped! No regrets though, I hadn't seen her for almost 3 years. I, too, am working on...
