Skipped Stitches Solved by
niasha
What type needle are you using? I find that even those needles designated
for "quilting" can give me problems. I like jeans needles, nice and sharp,
no problems yet sewing through dyed fabrics.

Lost Address help! And sewing machine needles... by

Years ago when my father had his appendix out, my mother rode with him in
the ambulance to the hospital. Later, after he was stabilized, she went to
the pay phone, dropped her nickel in (that tells you how long ago this was),
and started to dial home to have my brother come pick her up. She...

Is anyone planning on going to the sewing/quilting expo in Novi,
Michigan? It is sometime in early Sept. at the Novi Expo center. I
went to an expo for scrapbooking in May and it was SOOOOO much better
than I thought. I figured it would just be a bunch of venders selling
stuff that you can buy...

MQ problem by
DebsPrintOnIt
I just did some MQing on a little quilt using my walking foot. The top kept
shifting forward so that I got pleats where there was already a line of
stitching going the other direction. I've never had this much trouble before..
I tried decreading the pressure on the foot and then increasing it. ...

I spent this afternoon cleaning out my closet and drawers of all my "fat"

To anyone on this list: I had earlier read with interest the question
posted sometime ago regarding Busy Bee Crafters based in Emeryville CA
which purports to pay you to assemble jewellery from home. The
responses were all the same, "beware" and one responder had dealt with

What is sand castle fabric? by
AliceW
I bought a pattern for a tote bag and it calls for "sand castle" fabric as
the lining. I've not heard of this before. Does anyone know where I can
buy this or if it is even necessary? I usually use muslin for linings.
Thanks!
