I don't think that any of the textile crafts will every disapear, it sort

Elbow protector by
NoraBalcer
Just have to tell you what my DH asked me to make for him. He called it an
elbow protector as he wanted me to knit/crochet him a band to go around his
elbow as he has very dry skin that keeps cracking open when he has it on his
chair arm or the cupboard where he sits and reads. What I did was I...

Katherine Burgess
Someone here posted a rug that she had knitted out of Crafter's Cotton. I
diligently saved the pattern, and, now that I have the yarn, I can't find
the pattern!
Help! Help! Help!!!!!

Hi Group!
What comes to mind when 'crochet' is mentioned? Do you think of
crocheting with YARN, or crocheting with THREAD?
Hugs,
Noreen
**I think of both, as I DO both

Cher by
Angelicsong
Cher, I wasn't the one doing the searching - Eleanore was.
Once Eleanore made the accusation that Gem had gone to other groups looking
for money, I decided to look at the groups that Eleanore said that Gemini
was in asking for cash. I found NOTHING.
So lets get this straight -- I DID NOT MAKE THE...

REALLY???? You can dye nylon???? Do tell! What do you
use to dye nylon?
Any dye that will work on protein fibers, usually; i.e., acid dyes. (not
fiber-reactive, those are for cellulose fibers.) Nylon basically reacts like
silk; so if something will dye silk, it should dye...

Lovely work, Gwen. My favorite is your "scrap" vest. Did you knit it
top-down, bottom-up, or side to side? It is hard to tell from the picture.

Regarding scissors on planes by
Noreen's Knit*che
I have a pendant that I wear around my neck for snipping thread and
yarns.
The pendant is 2 inches.
They usually run about $7 to $8, right now Mary Maxim has a special on
them, a set of two for $10.99.

Totally OT, "ironic day" by
Noreen's Knit*che
I found it ironic that the same day 'our' (meaning USA's) "baby girl",
Jessica Lynch finally came home to Palestine, Virginia, Hussein's baby
boys are reported dead.

If I invent a stitch, can I name it? by
Laurie
Actually, I highly doubt I invented it. ;-)
I finished my first knitting project and I LOVED how it turned out. I
was having a really hard time with gauge (I knit SO tight) that I got
some beautiful hand dyed chunky wool from Uraguay to knit a simple
scarf. It has the most beautiful blues,...
