OT Funny spam text by
Kathy Applebaum
Some times the text spammers include to fool the spam filters is sooooo
funny. Here's the latest, with spam portions deleted. Beverage warnings,
etc. :)
Cows corrupt the geographers. Shoes may be mad scientists. Compulsive
gamblers are reincarnated as stock brokers.

Hello again!!! (some on and off-topic, mostly, off-topic) by
CNY/VAstitcher
Well dang if y'all don't chatter like a bunch of magpies!! LOL Sorry,
started getting the twang after 48 hours in VA, and now i'm just plain
giddy with being able to talk with all of you again.
Let me give you the run-down:
You all read about the day we were supposed to be packed up and gone...

My no longer missing son by
Marlys in Indiana
It would appear that the body found is that of my son, but they will not
consider it 100% until they check dental records. So absolute identity will
still take a little longer. Talked to the deputy coroner yesterday about
it.
But he was wearing the clothes he had been wearing, his wallet...

The was a fun block to construct. The photo makes the colors all wacky, it

45 thimbles... by
Johanna Gibson
I am 45 thimbles richer than I was on Thursday. On Thursday, Naga
proudly delivered the little surprise he had been keeping in his
wardrobe in Bruar..... he had been to a gala festival in Blair Atholl,
ran into a vendor selling thimbles, and proceeded to buy the lot! He
said he knew I was...

Quilt Expo in Nashville by
Morag in Detroit
Is anybody else headed for the AQS Expo in Nashville next week?
I went crazy and signed up for eight classes. I only did five last year
and was exhausted by Saturday. A couple of the classes this year are
hand quilting so maybe I won't be so tense. Another is Create A
Personal Color Palette. ...

o/t late baby! by
Morag in Oxford
Hi ladies,
Apologies in advance if this turns into a moan, but this baby doesn't seem
in any hurry to be born. My due date was either yesterday (16th) or Monday,
depending if I go by the hospital date or my doctor's date. Baby seems
quite content to stay where he/she is, and kick into Mummy's...

OT Completely OT Rug Making Yarn by
Cheryl
Has anyone in the NG happened across heavy yarn suitable for rug-making in
balls, skeins or hanks? The only yarn I can find is pre-cut into short
lengths for use with latch-hooks. I have a rug-making machine - a little
like a knitting machine - and I need a continuous yarn to feed through it.
If...

I'm booked on a trip with the QE2 toward the end of October -- round
trip Southampton for 16 days with stops in Lisbon, Granada, Palermo,
Alexandria, Ephesus, Athens, and Rome. Is there anybody reading this
group who is going on that trip, too? I'm getting my lap quilting
project ready to take...
