Pottery Radio (blogcast) by
John Norris
Most of us listen to the radio in the studio, what if we could get the
latest info on pottery?
I've been putting together a podcast/blogcast of just what that may

anyone point me to a book or website?
I'm fairly new to the world of ceramics and have observed the layouts
of four or five private and public school studios. My experience in the
business world tells me there has to be an...

Pottery studios in the DC area by
5string
I make pottery a couple of times per week at a community studio where I rent
space --- more specifically, I have a couple of shelves and a key to access
to the studio whenever I would like (so long as there isn't a class there).
I have my own tools, but use the studio wheels and glazes (part of...

pottery term by
James Norton
I'm trying to think of a word that describes a process used in Wedgwood
manufacturing that involves applying a band of low relief decoration around
the outside of a vase. The band is prepared in a plaster mold and
transferred to the vase. Any help is appreciated.

Pottery vendor JRA6004 by
DigitalVinyl
Bought a piece of pottery from a furniture store. Like most furniture
stores they had no information on the vendor cause they can't order
any accessories. Designers just come and drop single items on the
floor. My sales person hasn't returned with info yet.
I have been trying to find the vendor...

Potters who are also mystery lovers may enjoy "Uncommon Clay" by
Margaret Maron, a mystery involving Judge Deborah Knott and a family
of North Carolina potters that seems to be marked for death.
The pottery aspects are presented fairly well, and the plot is pretty
good. However, the...

Power inverter at art shows by
Paul Fincannon
Hi,
I need some AC power for our next show. I saw someone using a power
inverter with a battery at a show last week, but wasn't able to speak
with them. Has anyone used this? I will use if for my credit card
machine, maybe a fan. I was thinking of buying one that handles 400
watts at Home...
