some of my cards by
Barbara Hass
If anyone is interested, I put a few cards up on yahoo for everyone to
view. (If there's anything on the inside of the card, I put both inside
and outside in the same picture).

Convention report! by
Barbara Hass
Hi Fellow Stampers,
I just returned from a fun weekend at the Auntie Amy Stamps convention
in Ft.Wayne, Indiana. I attended three classes, as well as the Saturday
evening party, and came back with a ton of ideas (and new stash!).
First off, this convention was smaller than the one I attended in...

Need stamped pin ideas! by
Barbara Hass
Hi Everybody!
My mom, MIL, and I will be attending a stamp convention in a couple of
weeks. They're having a pin contest each day for $25 cash prize. The
info says to bring "an unusual, unique, or one of a kind pin made with
at least on stamp used." Anyone have any ideas or links to web...

Need help - where to buy....? by
Barbara Hass
Your assistance is needed. We need to purchase black paper or vinyl with a
self-adhesive backing. The problem is that we cannot locate a source.
Anyone know of one? Thanks.

What have you been stamping lately? by
Barbara Hass
Been quiet the past week or so on rcs! I imagine many have the "back to
school" chaos that comes with mid-August. If you have found time to
stamp, what have you worked on lately?
I made a card for a friend. Wasn't incredibly excited with how it
turned out, though. Daffodils stamped in green...

Acrylic stamps by
Barbara Hass
OK, so my mom brought all of her acrylic stamps/blocks from CTMH with
her this past weekend, and it was my first experience using the stamps.
I liked them very much overall, but it seemed that the ink didn't coat
the stamps as well as with rubber - almost like it was pooling on the
stamp, to a...

"Painting" embossed images with condensed milk by
Barbara Hass
Kate and Barbara were at it again today! We are stamping maniacs!
We decided to try a technique featured in "The Rubber Stamper"
(April/May 2003), which involved painting an embossed image with
sweetened condensed milk and using a heat gun to carmelize the milk. It
gives a lovely effect, and of...

Kate is visiting Barbara, and we had a fun weekend stamping, along with
a friend of Barbara's who is a graphic artist (her work always puts the
rest of us to shame!).

looking for source - monogram stamp by
Barbara Hass
I'm looking for a source from which to purchase a monogram stamp (ie. I
tell them the 3 initials, they make the monogram stamp). Alternatively,
I need an (inexpensive) way to design a monogram. My local stamping
supply store will custom-cut a stamp, but they need the design first.

Just a quick welcome to all members, both new and old. If you are newer
to our recently "reactivated" group and feel comfortable doing so, post
a quick hello and introduce yourself, what you like about stamping, how
you got into it, etc. Also feel free to post pics of your work
somewhere on the...

Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) list by
Barbara Hass
A reminder that anyone who wishes to be on the RAK list should email
their snail mail and any other info (ie. stamp/ink preferences, style,
etc.) to me at bhass at purdue dot edu. I will then send the RAK list
out to all participants. (So far I have received only one email).
Thanks & happy...

How do you store card samples? by
Barbara Hass
How do you store card samples for easy viewing? I would like something
like an album format, as opposed to box o' cards. Unfortunately the
average note card is one-quarter the size of an 8.5x11" sheet of paper,
or 4.25x5.5", which is just 0.25" too big to fit 4x6" photo pages.
Full-size page for...

stamp conventions by
Barbara Hass
Has anyone else ever attended a stamp convention? My mom and mom-in-law
are planning on attending one in Fort Wayne, IN, put on by Auntie Amy
Stamps. We went to one last year and had a blast. Much restraint to
not spend thousands of dollars on all the cool stuff! And TONS of
companies there,...
