Pirjo Ilvesvuori

Lucinda likes to knit. Her friend Barbara knows it and sends
some yarn to Lucinda. Lucinda is happy about the present and
promises: "When the right time comes, I will use this yarn
to some project of mine."
Well, then the time will come and Lucinda takes the...

Hi Cher,
I should be back on rcty this week sometime (fingers crossed). Google is

BDS2pds
Is there a chart anywhere online that gives you examples of which yarns meet a
particular gauge? That would be a treat.

Hi - I'm back! by
Shillelagh
Hi everyone!
My trip to Toronto was wonderful. I enjoyed Skate Canada, visiting with my
daughter and sister, and of course - SHOPPING.
We managed a trip to Romni Wools on Queen St. in Toronto. They carry a
large selection of yarns, however their store is very messy and
disorganized. I can get...

Converting sleeves from set-in to raglan? by
[email protected]
Hi all
Because I have broad shoulders, raglan sleeves suit me best, and because
I have a reasonably sized bust, V-necks and wrap-over styles suit me
best, and because I am short-waisted, longer fitted styles suit me best,
and because of my overall shape, fine knits suit me better than chunky.
So...

Debbie Bliss Workshop by
Sarah Grace
Hi Everyone!
I promised to give some details on my Debbie Bliss workshop so here it is-
It was called making the most of your knitting so was largely about tips and
techniques to improve you knitting, and a chance to play with Debbies yarn and
obviously ask her questions.
First of all she...

OT - Internet news & me by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Aino used SMS and wants me to send her one song. But I
can't. Why? Because Messenger refuses to co-operate with me.
I can't fix it. Why? Because the update is in the net, but I
can't pick it up. Why? Because the net refuses to co-operate
with me. I have waited all night, but no hope. :( I told...

Pattern for toque by
John Jeremies
Im looking for a pattern so that I with not much knowledge of knitting can
knit a toque. I havent had any luck finding a pattern for a men's hat, the
kind that is like a ball and you double it up and it stretches over your
head and you turn the bottom up over your ears. I just want to make a...

Can this pattern be adjusted? by
Michele
As I was wandering around looking at the various patterns, this one caught
my eye. I'd love to make this for myself and DD (who is just a little bit
thinner than I am these days bg), but the finished product looks to be
about 6 inches too wide for me. Any ideas on how to make it narrower?...
