lost needle by
Lucille
Has anyone found the needle I lost last night? It was a #26, threaded with
2 strands of DMC 728 Topaz. It seems to have run away from home.
I hope no one steps on it and gets hurt.

OT OT People fed up with gas prices being jerked around in Canada by
Suzanne N. Fernandes
I was in Nova Scotia on vacation just recently and I didn't notice a
dramatic increase in gas prices. I spoke with my grandmother about it and
she said that it has always been high in the city that they live in.
However, here in Ottawa, the ESSO station that is close to my house has
always had the...

VOT. Rabbit joke. by
Gillian Murray
A woman walks into a vet's waiting room, dragging a wet rabbit on a leash.
"Sit, Fluffy," she says.
Fluffy glares at her and then the soaking-wet rabbit jumps up on another
customer's lap, getting water all over him.
"I said sit, Fluffy!" the woman shouts. "Don't you want to be a good
little...

intro by
Duckie
Hi all,
I am new here and I spent some time reading through people's messages.
You all sound so nice here. Nothing like some of the other groups
around here who get all nasty and name-calling. Anyway, I go by the
nickname Duckie. I love doing cross stitch and I have done that for
just a few months...

Stitching on 28 Count by
Suzanne
When you're using a 28 count evenweave fabric, do you always stitch
over 2 threads? This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm really not
sure. All of my stitching before has been with kits or whatever that
tells just what size fabric to use and how many threads to stitch. It
just seems like a...

The Firehouse Angel Moves On by
Carolyn Wagner
I went to the post office today and sent the Angel on to Heather in New
York. I wasn't able to do as much as I would have liked (my 76-year-old
mother had a seizure and was just discharged from the hospital), but she
sure was nice to have a part in.
Diane, I don't have a scanner, so either I can...

Q-Snaps question and a hoops/bead question by
Rachel Janzen
I'm getting ready to start a large project that requires beading, which
I want to do as I go along. At first I thought I would buy a set of
Q-Snaps and try them out. My piece of fabric is 17"x24" - what size of
Q-Snaps should I get? Can I get anything bigger than a 17"x17" which is
the biggest I...

Stitching & me by

Hi everyone!
You do not believe this. Dad left to Canarian Islands on
November 9th. And when he came back on November 17th, you
have no idea what he had with him. A camera for me! Oh yes.
And not any kind of camera. The one I have....I can use it
to take snapshots or something like that, aka...

these stay put.

OT A Christmas Carol Rant by
Tia Mary
OK -- one of my most favouritest Christmas carols is "Mary's Boy
Child". But -- and this seems to be a BIG "but" (not at all related to
MY butt which, by the way, IS big) -- anywhoo the BUT part is that I
like the calypso version of the song. I know that Boney M and The
Brothers Four recorded...

J&S Craft stands by

Sorry to say, J&S Craft Stands are no longer being made. Their telephone
and fax numbers have been assigned to other parties and mail sent to them is
returned "No longer at this address".
I have a J&S floor stand and would dearly love to have another (especially a
folding model) to take along...

Mirjam and Sheena wishing each other good evening by

If
it is really a problem with the email, get the software from
www.spamassassin.org and see the spammers drop like flies.
Does it work on AOL mail? I ask because AOL is not MAPI compliant software,
the way that OUtlook and Lotus are, and I know that is a reason why the
self-replicating part...
