OT New (to me) previously owned dog by
Dawne Peterson
On Friday the local humane society put out a plea for people to consider
adopting a dog, as they were seriously overrun between two litters of
puppies and an inordinate number of strays. They were on the news again
yesterday, saying the response was good, but there were still good dogs that...

OT - Fingers crossed by
ellice
OK - so hopeful that I'm actually going to finally catch a break. I've been
getting pinged with some job inquiries - none of which have panned out as
most want an active security clearance - NOW, or I'm again too
overqualified.
But...I actually had an inquiry today, which got me a brief phone...

Woodlawn News by
ellice
So thought I'd share a little Woodlawn news - and take some reflected happy
dance. Stitchers from 2 classes I taught won ribbons - woo hoo. And, I am
happy to say that of the multiple pieces put in, these were the ones which I
personally thought deserved the recognition. One of the stithcers got...

Pictures of finished I've made in the past couple of years - but haven't
quite finished (as in not framed or anything like that). I have to name &
put descriptions with the photos, but it's time consuming and I haven't

Need an online cross stitch store by
kylou
Hi everyone
I haven't stitched for about 3 years. I found a kit at The Stitchery that I
want to stitch for my niece called Father and Child. It's the more
expensive one. I prefer to stitch on Jobelan instead of Aida but when I
went to my local stitchery store, they were out of business! The...

Of the Ugly Duchess. For what ever reason, DD and I have become increasingly
fascinated with her and she wants a poster of UD for her room.

Looking for Instructions for Needlepoint Kit by
Patricia Amos[_2_]
I have a kit from Royal School of Needlework entitled
Bird & Cherries Pincushion. I have misplaced the instructions.
If anyone has instructions for this piece, I'd be happy to pay to
receive a copy.

Dark Fabric Transfer Products by
anne
My sulky white ink transfer pen is in the garbage! I carefully followed
directions to get the ink flowing and the little ball on the tip just won't
move sigh Also, I think the ink might be all dried up. Naturally, I think
there's a design flaw in the pen, not the fact that it's been in a...

LNS in Alabamastan by
Tia Mary
Hi Guys,
Since Janet (my stitchin' buddy) won't have the time to go to a
needlework show, we were talking about taking an overnight trip to a
LNS. That is assuming we can find one that is worth the trip! I would
do the driving and we would leave from Janet's house in Birmingham.
Does...

OFF TOPIC funny by
Cheryl Isaak
This morning, as is their wont during the winter, the kids were tubing while
waiting for the bus.
Today, DD is belly down on the tube, just starting to go, when the little
boy next door (about half her size if that) decided he was going to jump on
top of her. He lands in such a way that his mouth...
