dress for a wedding by
bell_hooks
I have a formal wedding to go to but haven't really found anything
that's struck my fancy RTW wise, so I'm thinking of making something
to wear instead. As much as I like the style of the bottom of the
simplicity dress # 5671, the entire dress is a bit too prom for my
tastes. So I want to make a...

Hi all:
I'm hoping to embroider a simple pattern on a pair of socks as a gift
(just a pair of letters, basically). It doesn't need to be done by
Christmas, but I'd like to finish it within the coming week.

Elna 945 Serger by
berniece
Hi everyone ~ I'm wondering if anyone with an Elna 945 Serger has had a
problem with the needle clamp. Mine broke after 1.5 months and maybe 4
uses. I have been told it will be about $350 and a return to the
manufacturer to make the fix and that this is a COMMON problem with the 945.
Sounds...

last minute christmas gift by
Beth Pierce
I was down to the wire on making Christmas presents and had
just a few to complete. Not knowing what to give, I came
across a potpourri bag made from fabric. Has anyone done
this? You take two pieces of fabric, 8x14 inches and sew
them right sides together on three sides, making a bag.
Then you...

Body abuse in fashion by
Betsy Ross
Throughout history, women have had their
breasts lifted up, pointed out, pushed
down , in, together and apart. Women's
waists and hips have been similarly
manipulated.
With the exception of padding cod
pieces, have men EVER been put through
so much to artificially change the body
shape?

I hope I have the name correct. You
seem to be the man with the answers so I
wanted to pose this one to you:
I purchased a quilter's Curve Master and
an invisible zipper foot that require an
adapter for my Bernina 1000. I bought
the adapter at a Bernina dealer,
although it did not appear to...

Help with machine by

I have an 1130 Bernina and I am having terrible trouble with it. Does
anyone have experience with this. It ran for 15 years with no trouble at
all and all of a sudden it just dies while I am sewing. It may come on
again but it is more likely not to. I have had it to the dealer twice and it
is...
