paint strokes appearing on glass : ( by
Elizabeth in UK
I dont think it is anything you are doing or not doing - it is just
the nature of the beast!!

drip off a curved surface they are made to a consistency that will
inevitably leave brush marks.
The only way I know of to not get marks...

Sheellah
I'm looking for kitchen cabinets, and one of them had glass doors that were
described as having seeded glass. Can someone tell me what that glass might
look like? Thanks;-).

SobigF virus by
Moonraker
Has anybody else noticed an influx of the SobigF virus from "glass" related
senders? It looks to me like one of the vendors must have the virus because
I'm getting lots of poison emails with stained glass studio email
addresses. I'm guessing it's a vendor, because the emails are sent to...

Commercial Glassblowers? by
GOD
Do glassblowers who make simple glass parts exist? Like if I needed a
plain glass bottle or jar of a certain size are there people who could
make me just one or maybe two? I realize that the overhead for making
single parts is pretty high but for simple stuff I imagine there must
be some small...

Mosaic sites?? by

Hi again and again!
I'm planning on making, from complete scratch, a new countertop. I know I
have to use backer board on plywood. I need to know just about everything
else! My question is... Is there a site that gives "how to" instructions on
this subject? I think someone asked this question a...

What is seeded watermelon? by

BTW, do "pitted" prunes have pits in them?

Yup, and they are called "Plums" , I think...
And by the way, while I thought I too was a knowledgable fan of the
watermelon, an uncle of my wife was in MI from Arkansas and tells me there
are at least a dozen different kinds of watermelon,...

Slumping mirrors. by
Mike Firth
If you want a slumped mirror, you will have to mirror probably with silver
after the slumping is done.
The curved mirrors used for observing traffic (at alleys, etc.) are quite
weather resistant, so what do you need more.
If the glass has stainless steel in the middle, it won't slump. ...

Bench Legs by
James Laws
I love to make benches but I am having a devil of a time finding a source
for bench legs. The molds available through stained glass supply houses are
too plain. I like the common scholl design seen on many benches. Any
ideas?

Old putty/cement removal by
Moonraker
Any suggestions for removing old, dried putty/cement from lead came? I've
been using a Dremel and a thin abrasive wheel and grinding it out while
doing a repair. I was thinking about some cutter that would be the same
thickness as the heart of the came?

"Students see the light in glass art" by
Mike
Students see the light in glass art
Life: The age-old art of stained glass, which probably originated more
than 2,000 years ago, is still being enjoyed. What makes the art form
particularly unusual is its dependence on light.
