Adrian Brentnall

beginner in slumping / fusing etc) - that they want to get rid of
.....?
I was hoping for something with a digital controller - but pretty much
anything considered - can't really afford a new kiln at the...

Adding SG to double-glazed windows by
Plastic Sturgeon
I have heard it is possible to add Stained glass to double-glazed windows.
Is this true?
Do you pop open the sealed double-glazed unit? or do you have to have the
manufacturer do it for you? Is there special equipment? How could I find
someone to do this in my home town?

Has this group been Hitlerised? by
derek
This used to be a great big meeting place for like minded glass folks.
There were loads of postings, and it was "active"!
Now, it seems dull, stilted, neglected, like an old Irish cottage that
no-one visits.
A few days ago, I posted notice of a sale at my glass book website, advising
you all (all...

Melting old glass by
Jeff
I am curious about the makeup of 19th and early 20th century glass from old
bottles and containers. Specifically: Do the melting points of various glass
(glasses?) make it possible to arrange pieces of various types into a frame,
melt them in a kiln until they flow together, then pull the piece to...

I'm a lazy ass, so would rather not sift through the stuff posted in...

I was wondering if it would be possible to do some light shaping of
borosilicate tube with an air/acetylene torch? The type of work I would
like to do it take a length of tube and enlarge or constrict the
opening and do some light bending say no more than 30 degrees. Would
this be possible? As I...
