Happy Dancing in the Kitchen!!! by
frood
My kitchen wall quilt has decided it wants to be called Someone's in the
Kitchen with Mama, and it is done and in the washer!!
It started with 2 vintage panels (one with a cow, one with a chicken) I
found in Houston last year. I added 2 Shoo Fly blocks in vintage and repro
fabrics, a checkerboard...

I am getting ready to do a quilt with real wool batting. Is there anyone out there that has ever used wool? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Are you able to wash it?

Jim Vander Noot
OK, - I finally got the WIP photos to a place where they're accessible
without having to navigate the depths of yahoo groups and half-page URL
query strings. I still have to get photos of the finished "Just an Empty
Space," maybe tonight, maybe next week. I'm running around madly getting the

Lynne in Toronto
Last night as I opened the NG, there appeared to be a message from
Raggmopp, on my thread about UFO's. And of course, as Raggs always has
witty things to say, especially about finishing, I meant to read it.
However it has disappeared! Where oh where did it go??? Or was it just
a fig newton of my...

Question about flannel quilts. by
zo
I've seen a lot of flannel in the stores lately, but I'm not sure what
to do with it. Do you treat it just like a regular cotten and piece
it for a quilt? Do you use the same batting, binding, etc?

OT-another joke by
[email protected]
She visited her OB/GYN today and sheepishly said, "Something strange
has happened, and I don't know what it is." He said, "You've been my
patient for five years, and can tell me anything." So she said that in
the past week, she heard plinking noises when she urinated, and when she
looked there...

How Much Does a Featherweight Weigh? (a bit OT) by
Joan8904
Well, the decision has been made for Mom to move from her home in Louisville to
an Assisted Living facility in Paducah, where my brother and his family live.
(Hey, if a quilter has to move, Paducah is a great place, right? And if a
quilter's quilting daughter has to visit, Paducah is okay!) ...

OT- Updated Pictures by
AliceW
Fran, I love the critters! All of them! But, I really love the sashiko
mini you made. I bought a book at Lancaster and some fabric, thread and
needles to learn this technique, but haven't had time yet. Your little
quilt is the perfect way to learn the stitches, what a great idea! Thanks
so...
