buttonholes on Berninas by Martha[_5_]
Specifically activa 230. I have read the manual and looked online, and I am obviously missing something simple. I have re-threaded the bobbin, and put on the proper foot. These are automatic buttonholes, so all after the first will be copies of the first.

Ot; Obsession with doing things right by John
I would like to share something that I have made as a new years resolution for myself. I resolved that: "I would only have things that I considered beautiful, surrounding me". I know that sounds impossible, if not a bit pretentious, but if you think of it, you spend your life using things and being...

OT but interesting by Anna Belle[_2_]
Don't know how many of you may have been watching this: http://www.pixcontroller.com/WebCam/WebCam-FullScreen.htm We have counted 21 wild turkeys at one time. Lots & lots of small birds. Three female deer and two stags with antlers and a fox. Fun but it always seems to be snowing in PA.

Ot; Wine drinkers alert, Spew Warning by John
Here is a e-mail my wife received from one of soused girlfriends. I take no responsability for the language or content. Just the appreciation of humor. John ***** To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... And those who don't and are always seen with a bottle of water in their hand.

Sewing table insert by EstelleUK
I haven't written lately, but have been reading of course. I am wondering if anyone has the link to " How to make an insert for a SM in a table",not actually those words, but some while back there was an How To link and of course it disappeared when my computer crashed. We have an Ikea table...

Your thoughts on Christmas tree skirts? by Polly Esther[_5_]
Between the wedding and Christmas goings on, I never did wrap gifts; just sacked them and handed them out. That was okay. The traffic coming through all seemed to admire the barren Christmas tree skirt and begged for one. So. I would like to make four before Dec 1st. Here's ambivalence at...

ot warm weather? by Taria[_2_]
I am sure everyone is getting pretty sick of the cold, bad weather. In my junk e-mail this morning was an ad for JC Penney. They want to sell, of all things, swimsuits! So spring must be just around the corner. I hope I can be as hopeful as they are! Won't be long until we are griping about the...

? about vintage fabric by Walker Family[_2_]
I've got tons of new 30s reproduction fabric, but after Mom passed away, I kept her actual vintage fabrics. She had lots of 30s conversation prints already cut in fairly small pieces. Unfortunately, there are no vintage solid pieces. My question is, since the fabric is in very, very good shape,...

This quiz was designed for Americans so I am especially curious to see how our quilters from "furrin parts" score. http://www.angelfire.com/ak2/intelligencerreport/yankee_dixie_quiz.html Except for my brief stint on the eastern slope of Colorado, I have never lived any further south than the...

RCTQ Annual Quilting Weeks 2010 by Pat in Virginia
Once again it is time for the RCTQ Annual Quilting Weeks! Can't remember how long we've been doing this, maybe seven or eight years!? (Yes, it used to be just a week or ten days, but lets stretch it out and go for two weeks this time!) It is easy to get side tracked by holiday events during...

OT Video wars by NightMist
This past weekend was Mundimas. Our secondary Christmas celebrated with DD2 who won't ever be able to get any holidays off just due to the nature of her job. Part of this annual holiday is the game of video oneupmanship played mostly amongst the males in the house. This year I beat them all in the...
