Trip to Maine...fibre disappointment by
spampot
So, off we went to Portland Maine to celebrate my 50th birthday in
style. It was beautiful! Like having spring all over again! The
lilacs were breathtaking -- 7, 10 feet tall and all possible shades of
purple, plus of course white. Some had trunks the size of the birch
trees! We ate lobster...

I went to an old used book barn today, and got a book of sweater patterns -
they're beautiful, but the book I think is in Spanish. The name of it is
"Katia" and unfortunately I don't know if that is the name of the...

dryer-safe yarn. I've entered the wonderful world of making baby clothes
and have had mixed results with the yarns I started out with. For my first
attempt I used Bernat Softee Baby 100% "Gentle Soft" Acrylic sports...

Listening to all of you talk about your yarn stashes. I never told you
about the GRAND deal I found one day at a garage sale.
This lady had 15 bags of yarn, but the bags were about three feet in
diameter and about four foot tall. Each bag was packed full of many
different colors.
About 150 skeins...

I make it as a rule(learned from my mother!LOL!)
that the yarn must not float more than three stitches.
