Where to find pix of natural fiber barbs? by David R. Sky
Hi all, A young friend has been playing violin for several years but didn't know about barbs in horse tail and other natural fibers. (Horsetail hair is one of the fibers used for the bow of a violin, cello, etc.) I tried googling, including using "pictures" in my search terms, but didn't find...

Ojos de Dios book by David R. Sky
To the person asking about the Ojos de Dios book: You could help yourself _a lot_ by being _specific_ in your request! This would help us help you! - 1. What's the title of the book? 2. Who's the author? 3. Who published it, and when?

Hi all, I've been googling extensively without success for a crochet hook holder - not cloth, because my crochet hooks are very loose in it, but one perhaps made of plastic into which I can snap my hooks securely, from small to large. I used to own one like this many years ago, but all I've...

Curious about threads exchange... by David Sky
Hi Nora and others, What do people typically make with 4-meter lengths of yarn? The exchange sounds quite intriguing, but I have quite a small collection of skeins of yarn compared to what it sounds like with most other people here. cheers, David

granny hexagon help please by David Sky
Kristen, It just occurred to me, something that you'd written, that you don't ch1 between dc3 clusters on the straight edges in a granny square. That's probably why I'm having trouble in my granny hexagons, I'll try deleting the ch1 between dc2 clusters on the straight edges. Cheers, David

OT - Gwen's pie crust recipe by David Sky
Gwen, I have never before tried baking dessert items and have a few questions. You wrote: Place a quantity between two sheets of glad bake, roll out , turn the dough into the dish by just turning the paper over and cook at about 200c for around 1 to 15 minutes. David: I don't understand...

I have read many articles about linen and how if softens each time it is washed. I am about to make a linen sweater for my wife. I would like to know the pros and cons of washing the linen while it is still in the hanks before knitting as opposed to knitting the sweater first. I've heard people...
