A touching book on quilting by Janice Davis
Nope this is not a book on quilting designs or techniques. Actually, the book is titled "What I Learned From God While Quilting." It is one of those books you just stumble on; you're not actually looking for it. I have it and it is very short, sweet, and endearing. If any of you would like it to...

OT - Tattoo by LN \(remove NOSPAM\)
Two elderly women were in a beauty parlor getting their hair done, when in walks a young chick with a low cut blouse that revealed a rose tattooed on one boob. One lady leaned over to the other and said, "She don't know it, but in 50 years she'll be wearing a long stemmed rose in a hanging basket!

Finished early! by Nbhilyard
A woman's group I'm in has an ornament exchange at its holiday party. Ornaments do not have to be limited to Christmas trees, I realized, and I make wallhangings. This will be the third year (how quickly a tradition is established) -- and I finished the 2003 edition last night. I used a...

OT - ARGH!!! New Car - Ford Freestar :-( by TwinMom
I just have to vent here. I'm sooooo disappointed!!! After waiting 8 years for a new car, we finally decided on the Ford Freestar - it replaces the Windstar. We had a '96 Windstar that we bought before the boys were born. (I had to get rid of my Honda CRX-Si 'cause, carrying twins, I just could...

sort of OT weird craving by Roberta in D
I went to the store yesterday to stock up on SM needles. There was a bin of yarn on sale, and suddenly I felt compelled to knit a pair of socks! Bought yarn, got out and dusted off my sock pattern, excavated the needles, and finished 4" of rib last night (while watching the new series on German...

Help with glue sticks for applique by The Brown Family
I've just started using a glue stick for doing appliqué and I really like it, except the glue stick gets really gummy pretty quickly. I've put them in the freezer and it helps a bit for a while. I have the Ross glue sticks, are there better ones, what do you use? Lorraine

OT HOUSTON: Who's going? by [email protected]
Today, I got a haircut and a manicure so I look bee-u-ti-ful for all you RCTQr's at the Texas show. I know Sandy in Henderson and Elena and KCK will be there. Anyone else? See on the Weather channel that it's in the 80's down there, so it will be good to get away from the rainy chill here. Glad to...

New Post: Info For Va Quilters Plan Trip to Potomac Mills Mall by [email protected]
I have the worst time remembering the name of that mall--I think of it as 'The Full Moon Mall' because the enormous sign looms over I-95 like a gigantic moon rising on the horizon. ( Both a Mecca and a beacon for me.) Anyway, for those of you planning to take a trip to the mall, who want to hit...
