OT - hairdressing humour by
Bruce
A woman was at her hairdresser's getting her hair styled for a trip to
Rome with her husband. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who
responded, "Rome? Why would anyone want to go there? It's crowded and
dirty. You're crazy to go to Rome. So, how are you getting there?"
"We're taking...

Stitching on a 'Sandwich' by
anne
A woman whose talent and skill I admire almost always does her free style
embroidery on a sandwich -- ground, thin batting, thin fabric backing. I
thought I'd try that but I'm having a big problem -- I have to really, really,
really work to get the needle through all the layers. I'm using no...

Off topic - what do you watch by
Cheryl Isaak
We have satellite TV and I love the range of show out there that are far
more to my taste than the standard network fare. This is what is on during
stitching time and some of my housework time
First choice - craft shows excepting anything on scrap booking. I'll include
any antique shows with this...

OT - An unforgettable sermon by
Bruce
The minister had just started his sermon. With his arms extended
towards Heaven and a rapturous look on his face he said "Lord, without
you we are but dust."
He would have continued in the same vein but a small child who was
listening intently leaned over towards her mother and in a loud...

Stitching tonight? by
Brenda Lewis
I actually did some stitching tonight although that was not the plan.
Husband and child are gone for a long weekend so good time to get a lot
of projects tackled. Stripped and washed all the beds including
pillows, comforters, and quilts. Those are all made up again except for
the two biggest...

First for the year Hurray!! by
Gill Murray
I just put the last stitches in my Just Nan pillow, which I started a
year ago. It wasn't hard, but as always, something (or things) else got
my attention, so it was in the UFO pile. I will finish another this
week, and then allow myself to start a nice new design..the Bald Eagle,
from RK...

OT A story!! by
Gill Murray
In ancient times there was a community known as the Goodnu's. As all
communities did in these times the Goodnu's lived right on the river
bank for trading, transportation and sustenance. Water was almighty and
worshipped as a God. One day there was a tremendous hurricane far out in
the ocean....

ON TOPIC - do I dare? by
Cheryl Isaak
I found someone has spilled something on a crewel pillow I stitched eons
ago. It really looks like the corners have been dipped in some liquid. I'll
bet that the "wool" is at least partly wool.
I have Orvus a plenty.

Finishing help needed by
Cheryl Isaak
OK - I'm a'going to embarrass myself.
I have this nasty habit of completing the stitching, even attaching the
charms but of not making the piece into a (pillow, scissor fob, what ever).
So, my resolution this year to to actually complete projects. So I have a
little piece (with a ladybug) and...

Almost Happy Dance by
ellice
So, finally, the now "stupid" Summer Garden Sampler from VS is done,
practically. All but 2 little tiny backstitchs to go in. All the french
knots done. But, when I went to put on the beads last night - none of the
needles that fit the beads would handle the silk. So, after stripping
several...

Anyone seen these yet? What do you think?

Reminds me a bit of the Linea stuff, but more "real"/less abstract -
wonder if it will be any more successful?

Turn Stress Into Energy And Enthusiasm by

Stress is not a disease to cure, it is not a condition to manage, and
it is not an ailment to fix with magical stress management techniques
or stress relief remedies.
