fabric for quickest hang drying? by
[email protected]
i do a LOT of travel. In Asia, where bespoke tailoring is affordable.
i usually end up handwashing in the hotel room because it's the only
way to get garments turned around in less than 24 hours.
i have perfected the art of quick washing in a hotel room.
the bottleneck now is, how long it takes...

new sewing machine for newbie.. help! by
cj
Hi, I'm new to this group. I know buying sewing machines is a very personal
thing, but I'm going to ask anyhow :-)
I'm looking to buy a sewing machine for my wife. New to sewing, and only
really needed for repairs and little projects here and there, for the
forseeable near future.
One of the...

Yes Sir, Yes Sir, Three Bags Full. by
John
Here is a picture of three grocery bags that I made for a charity fund
raiser for my wife's favorite charity. They are made out of a whole
bunch of diagonal 2 color squares that I have left over from another
series of projects. I put a pocket in the middle of the front between
the straps, to use up...

John
I have been searching for an gender appropriate piece of sewing
related art, that I could hang in my sewing room. Not surprisingly,

related to sewing. Not many men are shown doing sewing things. I came

Hello, again by
Steve B
Been away a while. Have been trying to get my Singer 111W155 working. The
thread gobs up on the underside of the fabric. One local poster said she
had a chip out of her bobbin holder, and it caused gobbing. I'm going to
take the bobbin holder out tomorrow and check it all over. It looks...

What would you do to embellish a handbag, to give it a more designer look? by
Videophile
I guess I'm having trouble with this one because I'd actually like to
make a small duffel bag but I don't want it to look ordinary. I'd
like to give it more designer look, if such a thing is possible, but
without the frills and furbelows either that one might be able to put
on a handbag. Just...
