Things to be known before purchasing condoms! by Rocky
Look for the expiration date on the condom package. Don't use the condom if the date has already passed.Use a condom every time you have any kind of sex -- vaginal, anal, or oral. Don't use it more than once. http://condominformation.blogspot.com/

somewhat On Topic - bobbin winder by anne
The clutch thingie on my sewing machine is once again 'stuck.' This means that the needle thingie goes up and down when I need to make a bobbin full of thread in order to sew a pillow or purse for my embroidery (see how I've cleverly made it sort of on topic). Someone nice and strong might be...

Cookery - UK versus N. America by Bruce Fletcher (remove dentures to reply)
Whilst struggling to interpret an American recipe I came across this handy translation guide: http://marycontrary.tripod.com/food/charts.html -- Bruce Fletcher Stronsay, Orkney UK "I went to a restaurant that serves 'breakfast at any time'. So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance."...

OT. To lighten up the day by Gillian Murray
An 18th-century vagabond in England, exhausted and famished, came to a roadside inn with a sign reading, "George and the Dragon." He knocked. The innkeeper's wife stuck her head out a window. "Could ye spare some victuals?" he asked. The woman glanced at his shabby, dirty clothes. "No!"...

OT - the heck with Xmas - who's is getting ready for Thanksgiving by Cheryl Isaak
I've got all my ingredients except the herb mix I use. I may just mix my own this year. I'm working Monday and then again on Friday so I have plenty of time to get things peeled, chopped, parboiled and roasted to melty goodness. I might even get some real stitching time in.... C

Maybe now .... by Cheryl Isaak
I'll have some time to stitch. Well certainly after DD's practice tonight. And I'll knit there. I've roasted veggies until I'm ready to drop. And did a very successful culinary "experiment". I had some apple cider that was well on the way to being apple jack. A few small glasses of it as jack was...

Silk floss question by The Lady Gardener[_3_]
I am about to embark on a kit which I like the project but not the design. I want to match the original colours if I can (as there is a piece of silk in the finishing workshop which tones with one of the original threads). The original silk is an 8 ply silk, but I don't think I've ever seen an 8...

Creative ideas needed by anne
I usually embroider birth announcements for friends and relatives. My niece who just had her second daughter lives in a small NY coop in which almost every surface is covered. The not too large piece I did for her first daughter is propped against books. I've found a free Star of David pattern...

OT -- very early morning activites by anne
For no apparent reason, my eyes popped open at 3:30 a.m. When they refused to stay shut, I got out off bed, made coffee, and wasn't surprised to find that the newspaper hadn't been delivered yet. Read email, newsgroups, played solitaire and trivia ... paper had arrived by then so read it and did...
