I know I know...this is stupid by
Mlle Ilvesvuori
Once Dad brought me a pizza from local pizzeria. I liked it a lot. It
was...meat thing...smashed meat or something like that. Anyway...the number
of that pizza type was 8. So whenever I wanted pizza, I just said to Dad:
"Throw me an eight". I could say the same about the canvas thing. ZA-8 would
be...

Stitches & me by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
I must confess I have not practised any stitches but ½ xs.
It is the only stitch I can make. I could try whole X's too.
That canvas with small holes...I do not dare to try with
that. Must try with the canvas of bigger holes. Am not so
good to explain, I should show you.
Best: Pirjo

Allergic to my piece! by
Mmeindia
I have been working on this 18-count Painted Bunting handpainted canvas
needlepoint for nearly a year now-- it's a present for my mother and it's quite
beautiful but difficult to see.
Anyway, I have now reached the tipping point where I realize if I work on it
somewhat diligently, I could finish...

Brenda Lewis
The stitching is finished on Big Bird but it isn't washed, pressed, or
framed. I didn't get the rug frame brought up from the basement so no
progress on Dancing Snoopy but I did find all the materials for it.
Lots of unpacking and arranging was done in the house. I have started
Christmas shopping...

A Sewing Hint by
Tia Mary-remove nekoluvr to reply
Hi Guys,
I know there are a few here who are in the process of learning to use a
sewing machine so thought I would share this trick. I did some decorative
machine sewing on some long sleeved knit turtleneck tops for the SMDGD today
and used this trick to "fancy up" the store bought stuff. I did a...

Hi,
I have been searching ebay and all other imaginable places for the April
1985 issue of McCall's Needlework & Crafts. There is an

that they are not emotionally attached to? Signe

dmc floss by
raiderchic
Just curious... is there any logic to the dmc embroidery floss
numbering? I'm currently trying to get the entire collection and
can't help but be fustrated at the randomness of the numbering.
I can understand not numbering by color, as you never know how many
shades you'll wind up with, but it...

Just one stitcher here by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Well, as I told you....my hB is 87. Far too low. But take it easy and stay
on your seats. Nothing to panic. Nothing to panic. I have to eat Vitamin B
and Fe+ to make that mess OK again. In the mornings I am dizzy and tired but
after I get myself going, it is easier. Still I must take it easy. And...

Hand Embroidery in Mainstream Magazine by
Karen C - California
Sunset magazine, December 2003, suggests "simple stitching transforms plain
linen napkins". The directions are simply to draw a triangular Christmas tree
and "fill in with green cotton embroidery thread", so not much of an
introduction, but still, it's hand embroidery in a magazine not dedicated...

Hi! Question about copyright laws by

Hi! I'm new here. This looks like a great group. I just have a question
about copyright. I noticed that someone was thinking about recreating
famous artwork into embroidery patterns. Is there a copyright issue? I
would love to turn some of my favorite art into cross stitch patterns for
resale, but...

Hi All,
I'm fascinated with these materials! I've been looking at fabrics from
Silkweaver's (www.silkweaver.com) Has anyone ordered from them?
I'm thinking of doing Mermaid Heaven on one of these, but can't decide
if I want a "sky" background or more of a "sunset" looking background.
Any...
