Yeah! I got another SM by Barbara Raper
I went to a church yard sale and there was this lonely looking older Dressmaker SM just waiting on a table for me to pick it up! It has a handle, is lightweight, has a free arm AND the extension arm, AND------was in a carrying case that wasn't made for the machine. Since it was 11:00 AM and HOT,...

OT - Sorta Not - Just when you thought there was nothing left to quilt - Long by WitchyStitcher
We had a snow day today, which was very surprising, since we really didn't have snow. But, I guess they had to make the call by 4 am and then it was snowing hard and they were predicting snow and sleet and ice. Well, my principal asked me to recreate a project I did last year and she lost. I had...

It's been awhile by Patti
I was wondering where you were; glad to know there was nothing 'new' wrong. Coincidentally, we saw a few snippets of the current state of New Orleans in our news bulletin at lunchtime. It doesn't take much of an imagination stretch to think what the rest of Louisiana, and the other badly affected...

Quilt Show by Pat in Virginia
Jan: Thanks for the report. I will keep my eye out for Jane Kennedy quilts. It is inspiring to see good MQ done on regular home machines. LOL about the LA quilter ... you need to make up business cards to hand out. Would have been fun to see her face when she received one!! PAT in VA/USA Jan wrote:

treadle sewing by [email protected]
I have read this before in a post ages ago that sewing on a treadle machine can make one "sexually aroused" It has a small effect on me but does wonders for my husband when I sew on it, he gets really turned on and I cant figure out why? Anyone got an answer for this?

Rose Hip Soup by Quilterin
Hi, I found a number of recepies for rose hip soup, as you mentioned that you ate it cold, I think it might be this one (can be eaten hot or cold, other, different recepies mention that they should be eaten very hot): 300 gr. rose hips 1 liter water pinch of salt 50 gr. sugar

Fabric Transfer?? by Puffins
I figured out how to attach a piece of cotton fabric to a piece of freezer paper and run it through my printer. Naturally, I did a test and washed a portion of it and the whole pictures disappeared. Is there a way to run this through your printer and put it on a quilt? I'm thinking of having my...

template for fast wedding ring quilt... by Cappy
About three weeks ago, I was up at the crack of dawn finishing up some floral arrangements that needed to be out the door by 9:30. I had the local PBS channel on in the background. One of the quilt shows had a woman demonstrating this nifty plastic template for a quilt-as-you-go wedding ring...

Path Through Jerusalem by NightMist
I've a notion to make my mom a quilt. I know that this is a hazard, being as how she generally has always felt about homemade, but there you go. I was thinking of a Path Through Jerusalem quilt, problem being that I haven't seen one for at least 20 years, though I saw several as a kid traveling...
