Attn: Els by
Allaya Diep
Hi Els!
I just received your package today! Thank you so much! What a sweet woman
you are! :) Maybe it's just late for me, but I'm struggling trying to
envision how to start braiding...although each time I read the instructions,
it becomes a little more clear. Probably something I should try...

My AC Moore and the LYS by
NoraBalcer
SlinkyToy,
I know what you mean about the changing faces of the yarn stores. My LYS is
going into DMC and Anchor threads now and doing away with a lot of yarn, what
they are carrying is the Paton yarns. I asked about their Red Heart and she
said they were fazing it out. Not nice, but I'll be...

Trying to get together an order of alpaca by
HannahRach
I'm trying to get an order together for raw alpaca fur to spin/knit. If I can
get a large enough order, then the price will drop to $2.00/oz. The local
alpaca farm raises award winning animals with the highest caliber fur in many
different shades of white/beige/chestnut/brown. Colors are mixable...

Neighbors stash by
NoraBalcer
Yesterday I walked over to my neighbors as she told me she was cleaning out her
craft supplies and did I want to see if I wanted the yarn. I said sure,
thinking she probably had a few skeins. WRONG, I came home with over 20 almost
full skeins of yarn. Boy, what a lovely lady to give me first chance...

Discussion topic: Satisfying project by
Norma
I enjoy being involved with the comfortghans, like Noreen. But my "home"
projects that give me the most satisfaction really has to be Hardanger. I
enjoy knitting, and crocheting, but for a really big "bang for the bucks"
it's hardanger all the way.

Nickel plated brass needles by
AGRES
A few days ago, I posted that texturing near the tips of stainless steel
needles improved their usability.
Now, I am testing similar texturing on nickel plated brass needles. When
knitting to a tight gauge, the textured - nickel plated brass needles tend
to feel rough and scratchy. When knitting...

Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Oh yes it does. I knitted last night again. And guess once
where...Oh yes. There again. In Aino's place. And the scarf
I am making got many cm's more. Somehow that place is good
for that kind of action. I always take my needlework with me
when I go there. And she never says a thing. Maybe gives...
