[email protected]
Hi,
does anyone know how to align the
needle post in a Singer 500 Rocketeer?
Mine is misaligned such that it touches
the hook with every stitch.

ALL THE TROUSERS ARE DONE! by
Kate XXXXXX
And James is reasonably pleased with them. they have growing room, so I
may not have to make more for a while... He has taken all 4 pairs off
to camp.
However, I do want to try the zippy-off's again, as there are certain
refinements to the pattern that I need to make... He may come home to...

Alteration question by
silverbells
I need to buy some nice trousers. Before buying and coming up with a
price point, I wanted to know how feasible it is to alter a nice (lined)
pair down a size or two. I am at a US size 10 now but I am slowly
losing weight. I have a good alteration shop where I get all of my
items hemmed.
I...

Alterations and Labor Day Goodies by
[email protected]
I was out on Wed., picking up some repair materials for my Mum's
clothes which she left with me. Nice lined wool slacks and a skirt, a
former purchase; the pants lack slightly over 10 inches meeting in the
front, just over her belly. Every where else, they fit fine. The
protruding stomach is the...

Alterations on a sequined dress by
Julia Sifers
I bought a gorgeous sleeveless black sequined evening dress at a
second-hand store for an excellent price that is just slightly too big.
It has seems from top to bottom along each side and I would like to
take each of these in about an inch. It is covered in sequins that look
like they were...

Altered attitude by
Tom Farrell
It's funny how sometimes we get so used to doing the big stuff that
the small stuff never occurs to us.
I have a shirt I bought last year while on vacation on Cape Cod. It's
a white cotton fishing shirt. I bought it more as an example piece
than to wear, although it is in my size. (I have a number...

Altering a mens dress shirt by
Mike
Hello All~
I was just curious - I have quite a few dress shirts that are a tad too
big on me - but I still like the shirts. I was just curious as to how
easy it would be to alter them into a size that fits me better - i.e.
altering one from a 16 down to a 15 - I'm mainly just concerned with
the...

Hello all,
I recently got my first embroidery machine (Bernina 160e) and I have played
around a lot but I'm ready to start adding accessories. I found out that
some of the designs I want are only available in other formats (Disney on
Brother, etc). At first I thought about getting the Editor...

American Girl Patterns by
Jessica V.
My now 10 y/o DD loves American Girl dolls. I know that Pleasant
Company once made patterns for doll clothes. Does anyone know if they
ever made patterns for girls clothes? I think I'd seen patterns for
girls clothing in the late 80s or early 90s catologs, but maybe I'm just
thinking I did. ...
