Knit fabrics and my new Bernina by Katie
I've got a new Bernina and I lurve it - have already sewn a couple of woven fabric projects successfully but I was trying to mend a t-shirt and I just can't get it to sew knits. I am using a ballpoint needle, and although if it was another needle from my collection I'd say maybe it was blunt, but...

Knit stretching by Loreen Robbins
I just finished serging a rib knit pullover. It's a poly/cotton blend and I used a 4 thread overlock. When I pressed the neck seam of the mock turtleneck, the rib has stretched way out of shape including both the body and the collar. Any suggestions? Should I be using a stretch safety stitch...

Knock-off legal? by Joy Hardie
I think if you copy something for mass production re-sale you have to change or modify it by 30% to make it legal (from what I recall in my baby swimwear production days). But, if you are just making something for yourself can you copy something you have seen from a major designer to the best of...

Knot at the End of a Seam by Joe
I want to do a little hand sewing. How do you tie a knot in the thread when you're finished with a seam or whatever, so that the knot is close to the fabric and does not pull out? Pictures would be a great help. Thanks. --- Joe

Knowing Right Bass Fishing Techniques Improves Catches by [email protected]
It really does not matter what type of lure a person uses, without the right bass fishing techniques it will simply end up as a practice session for casting. Jigs, spinners and crank baits have all be successful in pulling in trophy bass, but there are many times when two anglers, using the same...

Knoxville, TN Sewing &/or Quilting Classes??? by [email protected]
My wife has done a wee bit of sewing but would like to learn more. She has a fairly new, though not computerized, Pfaff machine. Does anyone provide introductory classes in the Knoxville area? She's also very interested in doing some quilting but has never done so. Anyone offer classes in...

Labels by Mermer30
I just started a small company and we need to purchase fabric labels with our company name on them. We need a 3 color imprint. We are having trouble finding a company that will print labels for us for under 250 pieces and using our colors and not the standard couple options. Would LOVE some...

Lace question by Carey1003
Hi, Is there a formula for converting the amount of pregathered lace to flat lace. I have flat lace and will gather it by hand but I'm not sure how much I will need to have it look right - i.e. if the pattern says 2 yd pregathered what would be the equivilant of flat? Thanks, Carey

Ladder Stitch by Jack Schmidling
Up till now, all my jackets and coats have been in handwoven coarse wool/cotton fabric. My current project is a blazer for my wife made from a light commercial polyester/cotton fabric and I can not get away with sloppy stitching anymore. Joining the collar at the lapel calls for a "ladder stitch"...

ladies dress pants by Belinda Alene
