OT - What's in a name? by
SNIGDIBBLY
It was this little girl's first day of school, and the teacher asked her
what her name was. She replied, 'Happy Butt.'
The teacher said, 'Honey I don't think that's your name. You need to go to
the principal's office and get this straightened out.'
So she went to the principal's office and he...

Pattern needed & thanks by
Joanne Passmore
Thank you to all who have sent prayers and good thoughts for my friend and
co-worker (Sue) who has just been diagnosed with cancer for the second time
in 15 years. She had her biopsy today. I was wondering if anyone had a
pattern for the turbans people wear when they lose their hair from chemo.

Out of Lurking by
Betsy Ross
I am coming out of lurking because I
have to tell someone, everyone about
this.
I just received a large package of
blocks and fabrics from Martha for QOVs.
Looks like enough for most of a quilt.
And I have blocks that were sent in
addition to those for Tyler's Hug that
so many of you said could be...

Presser Feet by
Scorpio
Why should one change the presser foot?
I am exploring my machine more and I have recently moved away from
quilting into fabric bowls. For the bowls you need t satin stictch
(as far as I can tell, just a tight zig zag stitch) My manual (from my
1965 machine) suggests that I have been given a...

looking for fabric by
Dopeytaz4
Hi everyone,
I am looking for Disney princess fabric. I have seen this fabric but I
don't remember where I saw it. It is a white background with the princess'
in hearts. I believe that it is a flannel. I want to make my little girl a
quilt for her new BIG girl bed. We are going to decorate...

midwest get together by
Musicmaker
So far, there is only one person able to come to Charleston on the 14th!
(Susan!) I'm going to stick to that date unless I get some feedback
from you midwesterners about an alternate date that works better for
you. I do also realize that gas prices are somewhat daunting - and we
in Charleston will...

OT cleaning piano keys by
Polly Esther
During our weeks without electricity, we had to keep our windows and doors
open. Every day seems to bring more surprises from that exposure.
Yesterday's was the oily, slimey feel of our piano keys. The piano is a
fine one, the keys may even be ivory. I don't know. I guess I could bite
one like...
