Looking for "Mother and Child" chart by
BGO'Rourke
Hi, Everyone! I am looking for the chart to the "Mother and Child" kit
that is always in the Needlework Shoppe catalog by Herrschners (the
child is on the mother's lap and the colors are very muted). I don't
need the entire kit. I have checked the website, but they only sell
the kit or the kit and...

Photo to color-rich cross-stitch pattern - possible? by
[ B@CHFiRE ]
Hey cross-stitchers,
I'm using the program PC-Stitch to try and make a cross-stitch pattern from
a picture, that I can sew by hand. The program says, that you can max set
the DMC colors to 200. Is that all DMC have? Any other fabric manufactures,
that has more? Maybe it's more than enough, I don't...

where can I get a cheap mat cutter? by
ted
I have 5 works of art on cloth which I want to frame myself. These
pieces are not expensive. I'm looking for a reasonably priced mat
cutter for one time use.
Since this purchase is for one time use only, is there an inexpensive
mat cutter I can get in any store? All my cuts will...

Longaberger pattern needed by
ingaumma
I need the chart for the cherries picture. Longaberger sold the four
fruit picture cross stitch kits at the Homestead. They are now retired
and I didn't get the chance to get the cherries kit. All I really need
is the chart and I would be happy to pay for using it and send it back
to you.

What a sampler! by
Susan Hartman
I was time-wastin' for a few minutes today and stumbled over this
wonderful old sampler. Check out the third photo down on the right-hand

Fabric Advice by
PennyLeeD2
I'm hoping the experts in this group can give me some advice. I see many
fabrics listed in the FAQ, but there's no comments. For example, "I like the
look of Belgian Linen, but you can see the back through the front -- don't
use it if you are carrying threads across the back."
I'm planning on...

Stitchery with a curse by
Karen C - California
I swear this piece is jinxed!
Several years ago, a friend asked me to stitch a kit for her. Right about that
time, I went into relapse. To get it to her quickly, I asked someone else to
stitch it. After some major frogging, it was done and mailed, but never
received.
When I started feeling a...

Dark Fabric Transfer Products by
anne
My sulky white ink transfer pen is in the garbage! I carefully followed
directions to get the ink flowing and the little ball on the tip just won't
move sigh Also, I think the ink might be all dried up. Naturally, I think
there's a design flaw in the pen, not the fact that it's been in a...

Searching for ... by
Rita Liesch
Many years ago, I purchased several baseball style caps that had a front
panel of cross stitch material. Does anyone have one (or more) these
(unstitched) they would like to sell or know of a supplier for such items.
I've searched the internet till my fingers are sore, but can't find them...

OT - Twentyfour basic facts by
Bruce
1. Men are not mind readers.
2. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it
down. We need it up. You need it down. You don't hear us complaining
about you leaving it down.
3. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

Euro-Pro or Craft-N-Sew Sewing Machine by
Catherine K.
First I have do say that I don't really sew, not with a sewing machine. I
don't need an expensive embroider machine, I do THAT by hand :)
What I MAY need is something to help me do hems when something needs
re-doing for whatever reason, and to finish certain kinds of liturgical
embroidery projects...

To Wash or Not to Wash - that is the question by
Cindy
Hello Ladies,
Some of the cross stitch kits I've purchase recommend washing your
finished product before framing. Why does it need to be washed? What
is the benefit for or against washing. I understand why you'd
pre-wash darker threads before use, but I need some help understanding
why you'd...
