Enchanted View quilt by
Queen of Squishies
Have any of you ever made one of those Enchanted View or Through the Garden
Gate kind of quilts? Can you tell me why she says to quilt it AFTER you put
the black wrought iron gate on it? Seems like it would be better to quilt
it first, then put the gate on top.

Kellie J. Berger
We talked about starting a mini round robin sometime in the future.... I
think we did at least....
did we ever decide to do it? or who would host it? or when it would start?
I'm almost ready!!!
although i might be better off to join one of the reluctant round robin, as
i don't know how fine...

Book Reviews by
Patti
A little while ago, someone was asking if there were any Book Reviews
which gave honest opinions about the books. At the time I did answer
with the thought that it might be on the Quilt University site. I have
now had time to check my 'thought'. Sure enough, there they are! I'm
pleased to have...

Shawn
OK. I want to make a type basket weave quilt and I can't figure out how
wide to cut the strips. I don't have a pattern, just trying to make
something I saw hanging in a quilt shop this summer. I can't go look at it
again because it's a 2 day drive away! I'm using 3 colours (D,M,L) in...

Acrylic Extension Table that's a box?? by
Elena
Hi! I was wondering if any of you have or remember the manufacturer of an
acrylic extension table for the sewing machine. This one is not just a
table, but a real box that you lift the lid (which is the extension ) to get
at the contents. I've seen those from Dream World and X-Actoblades...

can stamps be used on fabric?? by
julia sidebottom
You will want to use a 'fabric dye' ink. JAF does carry this as well as
many craft stores and Rubber Stamp stores. I Rubber stamp on fabric all
the time. One of my favorite ways to rubber stamp onto fabrics is
sitting the stamp face up against velvet. Iron gently and the design
comes out on...

Wee Village Blocks by
susan kraterfield
I'm charmed! I'd never seen these. Thank you so much for showing them to
me. Maybe *this* is my next lap quilt for the family room.
As for your question, I think it "depends". There are lots of ways to
applique; the real trouble will be if you choose the wrong way for *you*.
If you're leery,...

when businesses cash check but dont apply it by
Nurse Ratched
however, the statement should show the cheque (showing the exact amount of
the payment matching even if not showing the payee) was cashed and that
along with a photocopy of your entry in the chequebook
Or, perhaps you could make a copy of the check before you mail it, along with a
copy of the...

quilty hug gift by

I guess I don't, but I just didn't want to do it if she wasn't OK with that.
But, she said OK, so here's the URL to my photo album, and you can see the
pretty HUG quilt at the bottom.

At least, I *think* this qualifies as a HUG. But nonetheless, it's an

Note to Brenda Reid by
Francis Reid
If you're reading this, you're well enough to go to work. If you still
think you're not well enough, I know you're too sick to play with the
new Juki and your quilting frame, so go back to bed and I'll be home
this afternoon to take care of you. Lay back, eat bon bons and fondle
your fabric.

My first Ohio Star (doin' the RCTQ shuffle) by
Shawn
Just completed sewing on the label for MIL's lap quilt. This was definitely
a speed quilt for me as I had it done in a week. It is the Ohio Star
pattern but my version of it as I used up bits of fabric that I had. The
directions I had called for three colours but I didn't have enough so...

Kevlar Bindings? by
NightMist
Nope.
In fact, I don't even go to comedy clubs.
Now if you have a club in your town that caters to goth quilters, let
me know and I'll see if I can make it sometime :)
