Today's denim baby jeans report by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.
It appears that instead of slipping the first stitch on each row, I was
slipping the first stitch over the second stitch on each row. *sigh*
BDR U! (that's a family thing, the school we are all alumni of, "Brain
Dead 'R' Us")
So started over, got the cuff knitted...

my yarn bargains! by
Karlisa
I went to a local fabric store on Saturday (JoAnn Fabrics) and they were
unloading some of their yarns. I know it's not fancy, but I snagged some
Lion Brand Baby Homespun for 97 cents a skein! I'm making newborn baby
blankets out of it using 10 1/2 circulars and the simple "Grandma's...

Knitting bug -- OUCH! by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply

muscle memory into play and then with the next dishcloth I am going to
try learning Continental style, since I read lots of places that
Continental style goes...

Wow, that's just lovely! I'm very impressed! I can't ever seem to manage
lacey type patterns. I always end up with extra "holes" and my knitting
gets wonky.
You did a great job, thanks for sharing!

Botched Efforts by
MSey
A friend once told me that she never discarded half-done projects, or things
that hadn't turned out right. She saved them and used them for creating
sweaters and knitted clothing for dolls she made. She would also pick up
any half-done projects that sometimes fine their way into garage sales...

Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
I am probably going to drive you guys NUTS, and I'm sorry if I do.
I just did my very first gauge swatch. (Before I would just measure
carefully and wing it -- remember, I've never knitted from a pattern
before.) I am trying to cast on properly, and I was yelling at the
video "But I'm not...

Well, I finished it by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
You ladies will probably think I am certifiable for being proud of this
(well, my children all did and are all sick of me showing them my
dishcloth and beaming...), but I am. I finished that dishcloth.
*beaming* I did something easy to remember just to be able to finish a
project and learn to...

OT Gail is better by
Spike Driver
Hello friends,
Gail is still in the hospital but is doing better. The doctor said she
will need to go to a rehab center, not long term he said. I am going
to ask him what are they going to rehab if they don't know what is
causing the problem. I believe Gail should go to a good diagnostic...
