Felted Hat by
Madeleine Norman
Hello Group
I completed my first felted hat yesterday. I can't believe how huge it is
when you are finished knitting it. I also didn't read the pattern when I
purchased the yarn and should have avoided white and off white. I used a
double strand of pure wool (off white and magenta) and it took 5...

Crocheting in circles... by
AlenasMom
Am I the only one who has MAJOR trouble doing this? I can't crochet a
circle to save my life.
I want to make Alena some simple hats as lately she has been pulling out
her hair while she's nursing and she'll be going to the hospital again soon
for an endoscope exam and they'll need her to wear a...

Zipper in Sweater help...? by
Laurey
I'm nearly complete w/a sweater I've designed for DH w/yarn we
purchased while in Scotland - and I'm trying to figure out how to put
a zipper in "properly". It is a turtleneck type, with a zipper that
zips down the neck and into the body about 5". Are there any tricks
to sewing in a zipper so...

OY: update on MOm by
norma woods
Hi gang. Just a quick update on Mom. I can't really remember what I told you
last, so hopefully I'm not repeating myself. The decision has finally been
reached by Mom that she will have to sell her place and live with us. My
brother told her that he thought it was time, and she listened to him....

Socks update by

Well gang, I am happy to report I finished my socks today.
It only took 5 tries and I finally had to revert to my old pattern but I got
the job done.
Now I am looking for my next project.
Thinking of a turtle neck, raglan sleeve sweater in all wool for my daughter
for Christmas.
Now, if I could...

Movie knitting by

I *finally* got to see LotR:RotK today. Aside from being a cinematic
spectacular it is a LOOOONG movie. I was prepared - didn't drink
anything starting two hours before the show, just sipped on my bottle
of water during the movie.
And I knitted just shy of two FEET of my mindless project, which...

I recently acquired a copy of a book called Folk Mittens. However, most of
the patterns are for people with larger hands. I was wonder if anyone has
tried these patterns and/or has adapted them. I'm just not sure if it's
worth trying to adjust the pattern or if I should try to find...
