Rules of Thumb? by
DA
There are a couple rules of thumb re the amount of stitches that are needed
to compensate for the decease in width caused by twisting a cable. One says
that "usually" a cable twist will decrease the width by 1 inch, and another
that says to increase the number of stitches by 1/3 (one in three)...

To Noreen by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi Noreen!
I am glad you liked my part. It was so small, but I thought
those things needed a new home finally. And when I heard
about this Operation Surprise, I thought 'OK, now those
things will get a good, permanent home'. And I think that is
what happened. Thanks for being there.
Best: Pirjo

Crystal Palace Merino Frappe? by
Dawn 0
I want to knit the Kimono Jacket. I have never worked with this yarn
and am wondering if anybody here has? It is a bulky yarn and would
like some substitutes you may know of.

Question for Roger of Yarn Forward by
NoraBalcer
Hi Roger,
I've tried emailing Better Homes and Garden, but no response so I thought it
would be easier and faster to ask you. Do you know if they are going to publish
another issue of Simply Creative Crochet? I loved the premier issue and would
subscribe if they did more.
Hugs,
Nora

Jalobra (spelling??) Pattern by
Tava
Hello to all, first post here. I'm on a quest for my mother who is looking
for a pattern for a "jalobra" (not sure of spelling). She first made this
"knitted smock" in the early 70's. She recalls it possibly being printed in
a Reynolds knitting magazine. I thought I would try the newsgroups in...

Even if I haven't been a regular, I've been busy knitting
and crocheting all winter. Made quite a few pairs of
socks, slippers and hats that I give to a help center. I also

NYCO project by
Kayrun
Well,
I must report that I *finally* cast on my
NYCO project, and it is going very well so

I'm making the Wooly Bear vest with Kool Wool
& Fun Fur stranded together, and I have decided
that I really don't care for the Fun Fur so far.
(like the look, just don't like all those strands...
