I have seen hollow porcelain objects created from pouring slip into a mold,
but I am wondering what the process is for creating a solid object?
Thanks,

Hi Everyone,
I've been invited to sell my pots at a wine festival in June. I make
stoneware pots but I wanted to make some wine cooler pots for this
event and I was wondering if stoneware will work as a wine cooler.
All my glazes are cone 6. If I just bisque them, will that work? I

Is it microwavable? by
Red Deer
Hi Everyone,
Often I use a speckled clay (Standard 112) which I fire to cone 6.
Recently another potter said it was not microwavable due to the
manganese content which makes the speckles. I was wondering if anyone
else knows this to be true.
Thank you for your help,
Sandi

Hardness of bisque based on drying time by
John Rigler
I recently read on the back of a bag of grout that we should be
spritzing it with water so that it cures at a slower rate. Does the
same stand true for drying clay bodies? If I figure out the fastest way
to get a piece of clay to greenware without it cracking or warping, will
the bisque...

steve graber
i thought i could fill up some areas in my kiln with granite rocks to
help distribute heat around several larger bowls. i didn't have extra
pots for this and was using up all my kiln posts. a "full" kiln
usually does a better job firing with stronger colors.
the rocks melted! i guess granite...

hours or longer? I have a few pieces I want to dry really dry before
I bisque (in the past I have had some pieces explode in bisque...
