Ventillation by Cappi8
I'm new at firing and need information regarding proper ventilation. I own a Skutt Kiln and will be firing in my basement. The kiln will be near a window so that I can vent out the toxic fumes. What exactly would I need to do to make sure that no fumes remain indoors. Thanks Jessica

Storing glaze by Elaine Stutt
People occasionally ask for start up tips. Here's one: store your glazes in containers with good seals. Duh! In trying to save money and not having a source of larger buckets with sealing lids, I have most of my glazes stored in old food containers many of which don't seal. So I waste tons of...

Hi, I need some AC power for our next show. I saw someone using a power inverter with a battery at a show last week, but wasn't able to speak with them. Has anyone used this? I will use if for my credit card machine, maybe a fan. I was thinking of buying one that handles 400 watts at Home...

HEAT RETENTIVE PLATES IN GOOGLE by Juan
Hello, I invite everybody to type "heat retentive plates" in Google to learn about a ceramic microwaveable heat retentive plate that you preheat for just one minute, and stays HOT FOR 1/2 HOUR and the rim remains cool for easy handling. Regards. Juan

tea pot handles of other than clay by [email protected]
Hi, I want to make my own tea pot handle, not just get the bamboo ones that we see all the time. I have seen many very interesting ones in the pages of Clay times, etc, but the info about the tea pot is always about the thrown part, and not the handle. I'm just wondering if any has any suggestions...

The latest victory against the spammers by wayne
Recently, a thread about the spammers had some people questioning the validity (usefulness) of responding to the spammer's ISP by typing in "abuse" and sending it back. I did that not three days ago after the second attempt by those idiots to scam me. The response I got is printed below. SCORE...
