OT - Blonde Joke by
Sherry Starr
Two blonde girls were working for the city public works department.
One would dig a hole and the other would follow behind her and fill
the hole in. They worked up one side of the street, then down the other,
then moved on to the next street, working furiously all day without
rest, one girl...

looking for fabric by
Dopeytaz4
Hi everyone,
I am looking for Disney princess fabric. I have seen this fabric but I
don't remember where I saw it. It is a white background with the princess'
in hearts. I believe that it is a flannel. I want to make my little girl a
quilt for her new BIG girl bed. We are going to decorate...

Disaster quilts done! by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
A local businessman borrowed a church bus and is leaving today for the
Disaster Area. I sewed all night until 6 a.m. today to finish in time-
these quilts are HEAVY and it would have been very expensive to ship
them. I finished 24 quilts- until I ran out of batting- and then made
5 flannel baby...

78 x78 or 208......confused! by
pajaritaflora
Hi,
Ok, years ago I knew about thread counts and the difference between the
listing as 78x78 or listed simply as a one number thread count like 120
count or 208 etc..
I have since then been able to touch a fabric to know what I would like
to use. BUT! I'm trying to purchase some bolts of fabric...

Tribute to a Quilter by
~KK in BC~
Her body was tired-her back-how it ached
If she sat one more hour, she feared it would break!
But only five flowers remain yet to do,
If she stays a bit longer, they'll surely get through!
Her fingers are pricked and stiff and sore.
Yes, she's a quilter but let her add more
She, with others made...

Raffle quilt by
Marcella Peek
I saw on Alex Anderson's site that she is raffling off one of her
quilts. People wishing to enter send a donation to the Red Cross (ok,
only for those who want to contribute there, we've discussed this) and
they are then entered in the drawing.
I think it's a nice way to get people to...

Looking for book by
KJ
I'm looking for a book that's no longer published. Of course I can find it
on Ebay or Amazon at almost twice the price....but I don't want to do that.
I'm looking for Velda Newman's Workshop book. If you have one that's
collecting dust on your shelf, or if you've seen one in your local shop,...

More tote bags. by
Kate Dicey
A few years back I made a pile of bags for craft fairs and the like. I
also made baby changing bags. They consist of a bag big enough for a
well filled lever arch file with three bottle pockets on one side and a
mat pocket containing a small waterproof baby changing mat on the other.
They are...

Just am allotted a tiny minute - but needed once again to say how deeply I
hold your concern and prayers. For those of you participating in any relief
effort - just this thought - the temp here is 106 degrees - if you're doing
things to comfort babies - they do not need flannel or fleece -. I'm...
