Coats crochet nylon - Question by
Allaya Diep
I had no problems using it, but you do need to crochet loosely, or else not
only do your hands hurt, but the fabric made from it is pretty stiff. It's
all worth it in the end. :)

Scarf given as a gift by
Allaya Diep
I knitted a scarf the other night from three balls of Paton's Pebbles yarn
(black with brownish colored "pebbles"), increasing one stitch at each
beginning and end of row (i suppose it's more of a mini-shawl).
I gave it to my friend visiting this week, and she absolutely LOVED it! :D
She can't...

Another update -- no need to reply :) by
Allaya Diep
Hello friends
I'm sorry to say this, but I'm afraid my Little Lamb is going back into the
hospital on Monday. More tests, different doctors, everything is more
mysterious. :P *sigh* I'll keep you all posted. She was doing so well
the past month too!

of things, and since I don't have a mother to get any advice from, I
consider you the next best thing. :)
I finally got some time to myself today. I was excited at the thought
because I have an aran...

Hi everybody!
I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and well...just really
busy, as I'm sure you can understand. :) I just wanted to take time to
tell all of you that you guys are the sweetest, most thoughtful people I
think I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, both on and off...

Slipper soles by
Allison
I have been looking for a source for soles for knitted or crocheted
slippers -- probably suede I'm thinking --
but the resources I'm seeing show them at over $12 a pair... or about $9 for
some non-leather ones.
I need them to be non-slip. And I can't pay that much money for little...

I have found a beautiful pattern in a knitting magazine using lana
grossa kidlana yarn. I am unfortunately allergic to any wool. Does
anyone know of an alternative??? The tension is 17 stitches and 31 rows
to 10cm on 5mm (uk) needles. The yarn length for 25grams is 125m. If
anyone has any...

Knit Picks yarn by
Amanda Tikkanen
Mom and I were looking at some yarns at http://www.knitpicks.com. The
yarns seem to be good from the descriptions on the site, but the prices
seem too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with these
yarn--good or bad? How does it knit? How does it hold up in the long
run? That kind...

Problem solved by
Amanda Tikkanen
My BF once said something about wanting a sweater. I informed him of
the rule. Last night I'm working on a Wallaby for Nephew #2 and
casually ask BF what his chest size is (I know it's huge, but I wanted
numbers). He asked about the sweater thing again... I told him not to
worry about it... but...

Wonderful Wallaby question by
Amanda Tikkanen
I just picked up the pattern for the "Wonderful Wallaby" pullover. I
have enough Wool-Ease to make a nice red speckled pullover for one of
my neices (the one who really likes "made things").
If I decide that they're not too hard to make, I plan on making one for
myself, too (ha ha ha! I will...
