6 Hour Woodkiln Bisque by
Lee In Mashiko, Japan
I put some photos up:
http://potters.blogspot.com/
So you can see the bisque wasn't just small work. Bisqued
tsubo, the shop in town wants some new ones. I went slow at first,
because I put some plates in that weren't completely dry. Heat rise
a little over 100*C / hour for the first...

pictures and letters on pottery by
April Ann
I know there are stickers with pictures and letters, etc you can put on
your projects. They are to be used for all of us non-artist type who
want to dress up items.
I know they go on after the greenware is fired, but that's all I know.
Do you put them on after underglaze is fired, or regular...

Belgian Water Jug "Suffrage Universel" by
John
We have an old family heirloom. It is a water jug from late 19th c or
early 20th c. It came from Belgium with our family.
It depicts a lady on one side, with a man with a miners hat on the
other side. Accross the top are the words "Suffrage Universel"
Wondering if anyone has any information on...

glazing of un-known pot? by
pbhj
A friend has posed me a question on glazing (or at least preserving) a
pot that they threw themselves at some place in Poole (UK) several years
ago.
I'm wondering about what my options are.
I'm pretty new to pottery so any advice is welcome.
My initial instinct is that in order to glaze the...

Aftermarket foot pedal speed control, source? by
Recoil Rob
I recently bought am old throwing wheel at a tag sale. It has a 120V,
1/3hp, two speed motor which is controled by a 3 position switch,
low-off-high.
Does anyone know of a source for a variable spedd foot pedal that I can
adapt to this wheel?
Thanks, Rob

selling Creative Industries wheel by
Stuart & Kathryn Fields
Could anyone give me an estimate of a reasonable price to charge for a year
old Creative Industries wheel? I'm a student potter, so am not using it
even half time, nor for really heavy work (above 7lbs of clay centered).

Potters' Newsgroups Without Spam? by
Eric
Seems that when I log on and look at the news group there are as many
non-potter things here as not. I know this is not a "moderated" group,
which I like in principle, but maybe it would be nice if there were a
moderated group. You know, one in which only pottery stuff made it to
the table. Does...
