When you get to the really big show.....if you have time and if you even
can remember whilst all the oogling is going on.....check out the C&T
booth where my quilt is hanging. It's scrappy 30's repros with an
applique vine border from the book Make it Simpler Paper Piecing.
Here's their demo...

Sears Kenmore Walking Foot by
Carolyn McCarty
Some time ago, April in SW Washington very kindly gave me instructions for
getting a walking foot for my old Kenmore. It's finally on the way, just in
time to MQ my Twisted Tails quilt for a Christmas gift.
Thanks, April! And thank you all for your good advice, tips, and general
sharing. I just...

My happy dance by
georg
The T-shirt quilt that I made the hard way for my friend is finally done
and sent off to her. It ended up being Queen sized with more than 40
t-shirts involved in it. I used thick poly batting and tied it wherever
the shirt patterns let me sink a needle. I did a self binding with white
muslin, even...

My trip to western US, including stops at 3 LQS's (warning, very long) by
sdgodfrey
DH and I flew out to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon last week. We
arrived in Phoenix about 6:00 pm Sunday, which was 9:00 pm our regular
time. We spent the night in Phoenix and started our drive to the Grand
Canyon bright and early the next morning. This meant I didn't get to
visit the...

OT Innoculations by
NightMist
(Leslie said the word. Blame her! (G))
The Hep B series is now required by NY schools.
I was feeling very smug, because I had discussed it with the
pediatrician when it first became available, and got DD3 the series
along with her other shots.
So I was a little startled when the school nurse...

Generic walking foot? by
Debbi
Yes, there is a generic. I have one left from when I owned a Bernette. Works
on my Viking D2 although I don't usually use it since I got a Viking WF when
I bought a Viking Lily

ot - married life by
LN \(remove NOSPAM\)
There was once a man and woman who had been married for more than 60
years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They
had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a
shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never
to...

Making quilt patterns by
AlenasMom
Is it crazy to want to make my own quilting patterns? I'm thinking of
designing a "play quilt" for Alena when she's a bit older. Things with big
buttons, zippers, pockets, squeakers etc.
Has anyone ever done this before?
Aren't I full of questions today?

thinking scraps by
Roberta in D
Today I finished making a simple dress from the piece of gorgeous hand-
painted silk DD1 sent for my birthday. There's enough left for a large
scarf, so that's the next project. Then the silk scraps become stash! Just
in time too, I'm fiddling with some experimental silk blocks based on...

Last night's xmas/EQ quilt idea by
susan kraterfield
I was happily snuggling under a quilt on the first night I've needed
one this season, but once this got in my head, sleeping was OVER.
I'll spare you all the "family circle" style meandering that got me
here, but here it is...
You do a bed size quilt out of a single log cabin block. EQ5 would...

a really local LQS by
Elizabeth Young
I finally got around to checking out the maybe-quilt store in the local
strip mall (Cameron Park California).
It really is a quilting store. Bolts of fabric, some FQs (I think) and a
classroom in the back. I didn't get a lot of detail, I was in and out
very quickly.
The name of it seems to be High...
