Does anyone have this book please? by
Patti
I wonder if anyone has the book:
Quilt Designs from Decorative Floor Tiles by Christine Porter?
If so, I would be most grateful if they could e-mail me (nothing
sinister!). I just need a small bit of help. My address above is
correct.
Thanks very much I.A.

OT - Mom update by
WitchyStitcher
Back from another weekend spent in Florida. I'm getting to be a
veteran flyer now. The prognosis for the long term is still not good,
but for the short term, she is getting a bit stronger. She may be able
to leave the rehab center by the end of this week and go home with 24
hour care and outpatient...

I think it's a contemporary quilt....maybe it's quilted only in the
ditch.....his peculiarity is just those little windows .... I think
also we can found that pattern in european quilting...

Your thoughts on arranging by
Sunny
This is the best possible topic. I have very little experience with
this, but even trying to lay out a mini scrap quilt just about sent me
over the edge last week. I'm keeping a copy of all the suggestions
here in a text file on my computer.
Thanks Polly for asking and starting this lesson on...

Jessamy's Starry Starry Night Block Swap by
Kay Ahr[_2_]
Is it still a go? Some folks have been asking about a mailing address for a
couple of weeks now.
Anybody know? Has Jessamy gotten overwhelmed by a heavy dose of "life"
lately?
Should I just plan to keep my stars?

Small part for Singer? machine by
Sally Swindells
At the Spring Fayre I helped at today I bought a packet of odd sewing
bits - Stitch Ripper, needle threaders, stencil for hexagonals etc.
Included was a Singer lightbulb (dead) and a small 1.3/4" bar which
looks like a thread holder from a sewing machine. One end is drilled out
and threaded to...

OT Memorial Day, USA by

is a day to remember and honor US military who have

moving poem, In Flanders Fields, written by a Canadian
Officer during World War I. The words are...

Getting off the paper! by
hmharris[_2_]
Geeezzzzzzzz,
Had my first class on paper piecing which I am still working on. Well, it's
time to put the borders on the small wall hanging I made and I can't
remember what she said about getting the paper off!
I'm using my seam ripper to rip the paper but I'm afraid I'm going to
accidentally...

Stamps by
teleflora
I was complaining (imagine that) to my local postmaster today that I
miscalculated how many stamps I needed and now I was stuck with 5 extra
rolls of 37 cent stamps and I need 500 2 cent stamps.
He said if they haven't been opened, I could bring them back and trade them
in for 39 cent...

Can I stretch it square? by
MaleQuilter
I've been away from this site while I worked on my first watercolor
quilt.
I got a lot of squishies from several generous members of this group
and I bought a lot of fabric to cut up into 2" pieces. The design
process was more difficult than I anticipated but I now have my
project pieced and am...

Singer 185K Freeycycle Machine by
Sherry
I think the analysis of the machine I picked up is "RIP."
The lady told me it sewed fine, but there was a problem with the
tension. After getting it
home, the "problem with the tension" is....it is gone. Apparently she
dismantled it, and from
what I can tell from the diagram I found, there are...

Slipping walking foot by
MaleQuilter
I've had the slipping walking foot problem and it sure was
frustrating.
I've solved the problem by moving the needle position as far right as
it would go. This lets both feed dogs have the same amount of fabric
to grab.
On one project, changing the needle position did not completely solve
the...
