Slightly OT - was away at Quilt show by
Ellice
Just dropping a line to say hello, again - after a couple of weeks away from
RCTN. I know Tia Mary would've loved this - I went to Nashville for the AQS
show. Hotel was HUGE - the Gaylord Opryland - with restaurants, food court,
all kinds of shopping, and fabulous gardens. All under acres of atrium...

My News - by
Cheryl Isaak
On topic only because of where I worked. I quit - due mostly to some issues
with schedules and lack of notice of changes to said same.
The store manager said this is the first time some one ever gave him notice
of more than a few hours and he's hire me back any day.

Slightly OT - searching for fabric by
Marianne T.
I am looking for NHL Hockey team fabric, specifically the San Jose Sharks.
I know there is a way to search the web and hit lots of shops, but I don't
remember how to do it. Can anyone here help me?
Thanks in advance.

Kind of OT - Touring in the US by
Kate Hare
Hubbie & I are contemplating a trip stateside next year and are keen to do a
bit of touring in a motor home. I looked on the internet and found "Cruise
America" - anyone had any experience with them or can suggest a similar
company? We were thinking of flying to New York, staying a couple of...

Davosa, can anyone tell me any other choices?
Also, is a neutral colour available in...

OT - Horrible Shootings at Va Tech by
ellice
Yikes - evidently some escaped prisoner got onto campus, shot someone on the
4th floor of a primarily freshaman, large dorm. Then moved on to a main
Engineering Building - with horrid consequences. As of now, they're saying
that 21 VT students are dead, 21 wounded, and the gunman dead as well. ...

Lähetän postin palvelin & Hotmail by
Juha
Oli taas härski vedätys ydinalaltamme. Eli ei antanut Kalli julkisuuteen
edes sitä laajasti tunnettua faktaa, että hänen mm. 60v juhlat järjesti, kas
kummaa TVO! Olisi toimittajilta kyllä ollut minimi vaatia edes näin räikeää
faktaa esille.
Mutta kuten olemme saaneet tottua ydinhallinnon...

I'm suddenly enjoying samplers! by
Caryn
I don't know what happened, after years of ignoring the suckers, suddenly I own
two sampler charts and am about a 1/4 of the way thru my first sampler.
Two weeks ago I bought Quaker Sampler by Workbasket, and even got the Sampler
Threads it called for. Hiding cost of those fibers from Dude, as he...

Seaside Treasures Floss by
House-mouse
I adore over-dyed and hand dyed floss so I was thrilled to find a new batch.
I bought the whole range of Seaside Treasures Floss and they are lovely plus
they were good people to do business with. The posting to the UK was very
quick and I can't wait to start using them. I already have almost all...

My Trip to Lake Placid (on topic and some off topic stuff) by
Cheryl Isaak
I'll start with the on-topic bits.
#1 - the travel project I brought (Welcome to My Garden) was prefect for
traveling. Stitching on tula was a joy and the combination of medci wool
perle cotton was easy to stitch. It was also great because I rarely had
great light and the large holes and bright...

Weekend workshops and Birthday S.E.X. by
Bob & Marg Whittleton
Well, folks, I guess turning 55 isn't so bad. I had a great birthday
yesterday. A month or so ago, my LNS The Sampler, announced they would
be having a special 20th anniversary stitching workshop on September 20.
The day long workshop featured a couple of my favourite designers, and I
jumped at...
