re-birth of a designer? by
LesaLesa
Its been festering for some time now, but it, finally happened. I've broken into my stash after its safe storage for many years. Oh I knew about the lovely linens and silks and beads. The other day, I moved a box in the basement and to my wondrous surprise was a boxful of shiney mill-hill crystal...

OT Digital Converter Boxes by
Karen C - California
I live right in the city, so the antenna built into the TV is all I have
ever needed to get decent reception.
There is NO antenna in the converter box. You'll need to buy a set of
rabbit ears in addition to the box.

Very OT. For the wine-drinkers! by
Gillian Murray
Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item:
Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up
with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto,California, to produce the spirits at an
affordable price, in the $2-5 range.
While wine connoisseurs may not be...

Long Dog samplers by
Pat Dumas
Okay, I'm hooked. LOL These are GORGEOUS!
But they show Gentle Art Sampler threads as used... is there also a DMC
listing for conversion on the charts? I'd like to order Joie de Vivre,
but need the DMC conversions to stitch it.
Many thanks to anyone who can help.

OT-ish: Fleece help by
Brenda
What's the best way to square up (trim edges) on a piece of printed
fleece? I'm planning to do one of those no-sew kid's blankets. The gal
at the fabric store butchered the edge of the fabric. For the plaid
piece, I went on the assumption that the pattern was printed reasonably
square and just...

Are there directions for making a box pillow anywhere? I am almost
finished with my needlepoint, and it wants to be flat. So I don't want
to do a regular pillow, but a box. I am an experienced seamstress.
I have never looked online for...

Needlework/Embroidery in Italy by
Elizabeth in Boca
Hi,
I am going to Italy in early September and might have *time* for some
museum/shopping that is needlework related.
Does anyone know of shops or museums in Italy? We will have extended time in
Florence, Venice and Rome. Also we are visiting Assisi and other smaller
towns.
Any information...

OT (?) How many items do you have on display by
anne
I used to kid my sister that she never met a wall she didn't like because her
homes had so many needlepoint pictures. Janet's message about her successful
insurance claim for her needlework got me thinking. With pad and pen in hand, I
went through my home and inventoried what I had hanging and on...

Well, as I told you....my hB is 87. Far too low. But take it easy and stay
on your seats. Nothing to panic. Nothing to panic. I have to eat Vitamin B
and Fe+ to make that mess OK again. In the mornings I am dizzy and tired but
after I get myself going, it is easier. Still I must take it easy. And...
