OT - holiday weekend BLEECH by
Fran
A MAJOR whine here, so ignore if you don't want to read it :)
Well, my holiday weekend is going to be veeeery expensive and somewhat
painful. My AC finally kicked the bucket after almost 18 years of
trouble-free service, and when I had people come in to place bids, I
found out my furnace (same...

Help! RCTNP by
kylou
Hi everyone. I've seen your posts about photo albums on RCTNP. I didn't
know where to find it so I googled it and found SewGirls.com. I registered,
but I still don't see any photos! How do I find them?
Thanks for your help!

Do you realize that we have about 70 posts...none about stitching. I
think it is great, and shows what a diversified group we are, Friendship
covers many areas.

progress with my "peas" by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
Wow! I'm excited...I can't wait to have a happy dance only the end of
this major project; I'm going to do a few quick turns and spins at each
section.
I've been SO disciplined about sitting in the sunshine (when we have it,
lately only about 50% of days) to do the over-one stitching ("eating my...

OT another groaner by
Bruce Fletcher
An old farmer's dog goes missing and he's inconsolable. After a couple
of weeks his wife says "Why don't you put an advert in the paper?"
He does, but two weeks later the dog is still missing.
"What did you put in the paper?" his wife asks.
"Here boy!" he replies.

OT.. Monday's Pun. by
Gillian Murray
Two highways were having a drink in a bar when a piece of pink tarmac
walked in. The highways dropped to the floor and cowered under the
table. The pink tarmac had a drink and then left. The highways got up
and resumed drinking.
“Why did you guys hide from that piece of tarmac?” the bartender...

Off Topic - Authors who don't go to the resale shop by
Cheryl Isaak
Well - I'm trying to clean out a little and I'm starting new bags to go to
the library sale room. But there are things that are just staying put.
So, in no particular order
Monica Ferris - ok, I need the most recent ones in paperback still, but
these stay put.
Dave Duncan - fantasy with...

attn: Cheryl - today's new hoffman charts by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
Did you see this new design on today's Hoffman releases?
http://tinyurl.com/2af2fws
Thought of you right away!
I loved the sayings on two of the charts:
"When I learned how to stitch, I forgot how to cook."
"Sour grapes make fine whines."
LOL!

Keep talking - what are you reading by
Cheryl Isaak
Just finished "Deep Shadow" from Randy Wayne White - latest Doc Ford. Most
of the story takes place in a 24 hour period. Real page turner
Just started "False Mermaid" from Erin Hart. Realized I had read at least on
of her books before and did like it.
Next - a birthday present "Trowel and Error"...

OT A pun for Monday! by
Gillian Murray
There was once a handyman who had a dog named Mace. Mace was a great dog
except he had one weird habit. He liked to eat grass, a lot of grass.
Nothing, it seemed, could cure him of it.
One day, the handyman lost his wrench in the tall grass while he was
working outside. He looked and looked,...

progress report by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
We've chatted in the past about keeping energized through the more
"slogging" parts of a design - what I call the "eat your peas" part. I
made myself a vow to sit 1/2 hour a day in the sunshine to do the
itsy-bitsy over-1 lettering that is the "not fun" part of my piece, then
I'll reward...
