SPOONS
Hi all,
I'm new to the sewing world but I'm so excited because I just got a Singer
sewing machine from a family member it's over 30 years old and I have no
clue on how to use it. It's a Singer Touch & Sew model 648. I'm looking
for a web site where I can download the users manual. I've found...

fabulous garments from around the world / Mary S. Parker. " it's in a
nearby library although still quite far away so I was just wondering

Results of those Long, Cold February Days. by
John
I have been waiting for spring to arrive here in the Midwest, and I
made myself a large sketching board to take out into the woods and
sketch pastoral views. I needed a larger carry bag to handle the
board, sketch pad, pencils and all the other impedimenta that goes
along with such endeavors. Here...

pattern storage by
DKiely33
What is the best way to store patterns that have already been used, cut and
will be used again?
I'm going to be setting up a little sewing area and would like to know how to
set it up correctly from the start.
Would an art store be useful for storage options?
Thanks, :)
Dee

Procedure to thread Singer 9020 machine by
Sew Busy Auntie
Hello, everyone.
This is my first message. My sister has a Singer 9020 machine. I
can't figure out how to thread it correctly - the upper thread is OK,
but how the bobbin works I can't tell. I keep trying, but I can't get
the thread to slide in anywhere (dumb description - sorry!) so that...

Help with window treatments! by
-dlm.
Hello!
I am having difficulty with a home-decorating project that I started.
I purchased 100% cotton drapes from IKEA. Because they are too casual
for my needs, I thought that it would be fairly simple to turn these
inexpensive tab-top curtains into custom window treatments by adding a
lining and...

I'll bet you've not heard this sewing machine problem before by
Micki
I bought a used Babylock sewing machine (not a serger) at a yard sale for $40. The yard sale was at a storage unit that had been abandoned and the property owner was selling off the contents. It looked okay, the owner let me plug it in and use it long enough to determine that it was working. I took...

Regina 1952 Seamstress machine by
Bill Martin
Anyone have info on this machine? My wife had this stored in the garage
for years...inside the box is very clean, carrying box is rough on the
outside. Wanting to know if this has enough value to pack it up & send
to my wifes surviving daughter. It is heavy.
TIA

Bernina 850 stitch bad by
Jewels
I have an Industrie Bernina 850. It has been working great and all of a sudden
the top thread did a whiplash motion and the backside of the stitch is very
loose and loopy. I got a burr on the needle, it was obvious there was a
problem. Changed the needle, made certain the timing was correct with...

Mechanical fastener to replace zip. by
john eastt
I wish to replace a zip on the front of a pair of men's trousers. It is
beyond my skills to sew in a new zip. The trousers are quite old so its not
worth spending a lot of money on them, but they still have some life in them
and are very comfortable.
I have tried sewing in some metal press...

looking for an old type fabric by

Hi, in the seventies I used to make my nightgowns out of a cotton
fabric with narrow bands of flat fabric and narrow bands of bubbled
fabric between them. It often came with small roses printed on it.
That fabric was THE BEST for nightgowns, but I haven't seen it in
years. My sister thinks it is...
