my garage so i am going to also need vent hoods or hoses to get rid of...

Crackle glaze as wall paint by
[email protected]
Hello,
I know this isn't a pottery issue but I thought someone here might
know how/if crackle glaze -- in its application as a way to paint
walls -- can be painted over with regular latex house paint. I don't
want the latter to crack, i.e., I'd like the walls henceforth to just
look like normal...

Woodfire with Willem Gebben. by
Lee In Mashiko, Japan
Hey folks, I listed this before NCECA but I thought I should once
again. Also, the new news is that I will be Willem's assistant.
He will give a slide show on woodkilns he visited while he studied in
England. He is interested in "Green processes", like wood firing to
reduce the impact on the

Kiln by

I really appreciate the info some of this is actually starting to make
sense. It seems I need to buy a few things before I start anyway.
Will also look into to observing. These are all good suggestions.
I had an electrician wire the house and install a plug especially for
the kiln -- it required...

Miller 510 white stoneware firing range by
DKat
I am reposting this from clayart. I know our room is small but I'm hoping
this might get more notice here since it has gotten none in clayart.
I have some 510 (miller) which I got from another potter who did not like
the way it felt (seems fine for me in that regard). They said that it was
a...

Hello Lifesavers,
To answer some of your questions...I live in Spring, TX, northern
suburb of Houston. There are a lot of arts & crafts types around here,
but so far I have not found much help for my kiln questions. People
who have experience around here seem to guard it like Fort Knox. ...
