machine wish list by
Betty Maxey
I have been looking to get a new machine, and it looks as though what I'd
like does not exist. Looking at Bernina, Viking, and Pfaff, currently. I
like the large 9 inch work area of the mega quilter and grandquilter, but do
not want to get one of those big stands. I did try one out at the...

OT - okay, I'm ready for some REAL tech support by
Queen of Squishies
I've been going around and around with Zone Alarm Pro for days trying to get
it updated. Finally did. Now it won't let my browser open any web pages,
nor will it let Outlook Express get email or ng messages. sigh. Even
though it looks to me like I have given it all the permission it needs,...

Spring Inspirations? by
[email protected]
Hi everyone:
With the weather beginning to warm up here in New Hampshire and
anticipating the gorgeous spring colors to follow, I am itching to
create a new wall quilt featuring spring colors. Yellow, purple and
green are on the top of my list, but I am also wondering what color
combinations make...

a mascot? by
Musicmaker
Watching Simply Quilts the other day, the guest talked about an online
guild she belonged to that had the pink flamingo as a mascot, so that
when any guild members were at a show, they'd wear a pink flamingo pin
to id themselves just in case any other members were in attendance.
Could RCTQ members...

Ideas by
Estelle Gallagher
I will be over in VA from 25th April as I mentioned. Will be there for 3
weeks and have a feeling I will have time on my hands and was looking for
suggestions for a kit or ideas so that I could buy from here and have it
delivered to sil in VA to have some sewing ready for me when I get there....

happy dance on the run by
Taria
Well, with all the support from you guys I got my cousins old quilt
pieces into a top and all quilted. I am very pleased except one
stinking block ran, even with a color catcher. Didn't make much mess
and I got it looking pretty good with some biz. I will have DH get a
photo of it up this...

Batting question by
Sandy Foster
My favorite batting is Hobbs 80/20. No question. But I do have a
question to pose on behalf of my DT, who is quilting-supplies challenged
while she lives in China.
In my experience, the Hobbs is much easier to hand quilt if it's been
preshrunk. Is there some special trick to doing that in a...

Memorial quilt for those killed in Iraq by
Betsy Ross
I would like to assemble a quilt top with blocks representing all the
service men and women killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Unfortunately,
the death toll is now over 2300. So I would like to use machine piecing
to get near the current total. Each additional block would then be
added by...

I have a sneaking suspicion who was the sweetheart who squished me, but
shall allow the name this kind and VERY generous lady to remain a
secret. THANK YOU!!! Did you know I was slowly moving towards having
a jungle theme in my "studio".... if and when it ever gets finished? I
have fabrics and...

Illegal Immigration, the Non-Issue of the Week?????????????? by
Expert Humor
The way our politicians rushed to talk about
illegal immigration this week, maybe they thought it
came with a free lunch. They won't do anything about it,
but it will get them some money. The Expert provides

Stash Shopping by
Denise in NH
A lady a few towns North of me has an add in a local quilt museum
newsletter inviting everyone to come shopping in her stash. So tomorrow
my friend and I are going to take a look. She says she is not selling
at yard sale prices, but that all of her material is from quilt shops
and will be marked...
