Searching For A Pattern: Supperman "S" Logo by
[email protected]
Hi folks
I'm trying to find a pattern for the "S" that Superman wears on his
chest. I've been working on a pattern based on images found online
but so far I'm just not all that happy with the results. Anyone out
there have such a thing?
Thanks!
~Dave

Borax info by
figjam62
G'day all,
I am trying something new, and get devit with this one particular type of
slumping project, coming off 720oC / 1328oF or so, but only with this one
recent project.
Normally work with float, and coming off same programmes have no devit
problems, but this is bottle glass. I don't crash...

"E" marks on (safety?) glass by
Abdullah Eyles
I have been trying to find information about the (presumably European)
"E" marks which are found on safety (laminated?, tempered?) glass used
in vehicles.
Some have E17, some E5 etc.
I haven't been able to find a table explaining the differences, anyone
know?
(I hope that I haven't deviated...

My heart is sad, for those that care by
Javahut[_4_]
I found out today just how brief life is, and how odd it can be.
Many people here have followed the trials and tribulations of Michael
Robison.
For those that don't read here often, Michael came in the group not all that
long ago with a new energy and excitement for a craft he did 20 years...

What to do with a glass head by
C Ryman
I have a hollow glass head from Pier 1. I was originally going to mosaic it
and turn it into a table lamp. But I have been thinking (belatedly) that
there is no air holes for the heat to escape. I thought about drilling
holes in the top of the head but that is where the glass is thickest...

FS: 3d Facial Capture Camera (digitizer) for 3d laser etching of glass by
Dan Serra
3d facial capture with high fidelity and color maps with the 3d
Metrics Venus camera. This robust and easy to use camera works by the
principle of analyzing interference patterns that are projected on the
face and captured by the camera. Since it is natural light and not a
laser emission the eyes...

Lighting Recommendations by
Francis Vesey
I just bought a house with a basement, that has very little lighting and I
am looking for recommendations. What is best, when working with Stained
Glass. Flourescent, Incandescent or Halogen? Maybe, a combination?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is Spam by

Only Hormel knows for sure.
A while back there was a thread here about who has a web site. I thought
it was great to look at the few that were posted but I noticed that
people don't post their site as a sig file. Am I wrong to post a link to
my pics as a sig? I take it out when posting to ng's not...

Participation in the group. by
John Bassett
It's odd to call other posters bullies. We're just little words on a
pc screen, just emails. Only one glassworker I know has ever posted
to this group. I'm just another old turkey, doing glass by myself and
knowing only a few others who do it. Once in a great while I may have
an idea. Once in a...

Crafts from recycled glass by

I have experience in a number of different handcrafts. Glass work is my
weakest. I live in an area with no glass recycling and would rather learn how
to use this glass than carting to the land fill.
I have a hand held propane torch, various files and other standard household
tools, plus jewelry...

Glass Price Increases???? by

I was doing an onsite repair the other day and found that I needed a piece

went to a local SG retail shop for what I needed.
This particular store sells glass by the pound, not by the square
foot....anyway, the price of...
