Recovering chair pads on a glider rocker by
almostcrafty
I need to recover some chair pads on a glider rocker. I do not know
how to sew and was wondering if there was an easy-sew way to do this or
some other method I could use?
I hesitate to take it to someone to have it done because I desperately
need to save some money.
All opinions and advice are...

When I adjust the bobbin tension to the instruction manual on my Bernina

normally. Normal top tension setting is 5. How do I reset the top
tension so that it is set on 5 for normal sewing?
Background information: I recently...

Two-tone pleated skirt -- advice? by
AMM
I have ended up with some remnants of wool, a smaller one
in a dark brown, and a larger one in a lighter brown.

skirt with an interesting effect:
I would cut each into 19 strips, 3.5 in. ones of the
dark brown, and 6 in. ones of the light...

Bernette 410 -- stitch length problems by
AMM
I have a Bernette (sp?) 410 sewing machine that we bought
about 20 years ago reconditioned.
I'm fairly happy with it (especially when I look at what
new machines cost), except for one problem:
it's not very good at pulling the cloth through at a consistent
rate.
The stitch length will vary by a...
