Wanted to learn something new last night... by
Qintes
so I finally opened my package of 4 double sided needles, cracked my
knitting book open, and learned to knit tubes. It took several attempts
to figure it out but then it went pretty smooth. I now have a pink tube
and a white tube. It took more concentration than knitting on 2 needles
and I...

Question about machine knitting magazines or books... by
Susie
Hi everyone,
I haven't been here in quite a while. Once in a while I stop by and skim the
messages.
I asked for help way back I think in October of 2005 when I started knitting
and you
all helped me so much. I think I've popped in a few times to write in since
then but can't remember. :)
You can...

ouch!! by
[email protected]
Working as a prep cook , i have to run a meat slicer. Found out about
two weeks ago that i did a very good job of sharping the blade.
The tip of my left index finger is healing very nicely, but still very
very tender. I was cleaning the blade and in a blink of an eye, my
finger was about 3/16 of...

And of course I forgot to mention something... by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
The only way I could imagine that I'd crochet ever is the
Tunisian crochet. What's the worry? With ordinary hook I can
make only small items...Knitting needle is not good for that
work...I should use it 'wrong way', if you get the idea. But
maybe that dream will happen some day...I mean maybe I...

Making progress with color by
Karen
It certainly has been a struggle, but I think I'm making some progress with
color. Els, I still don't know how you got the back of those patterned
squares you sent me to be so neat, mine look pretty straggly in comparison!
Hopefully that will get better over time. I did do one of my...

help with reading a pattern by
Laurie
This is for a crochet sweater but the confusion isn't in the crochet
technique, it is in the pattern so you knitters may be able to answer
my question too.
I'm crocheting a lovely cable cardigan. A Leisure Arts pattern
(Classic Crocheted Cardigans). As with most patterns, there are
instructions...

Is wool from Merino sheep always labeled "Merino wool"? by
Ilya Zarembsky
Hello everyone,
I'm curious to know how much of the wool sold around the world is
produced by merino sheep, but not labeled 'merino wool.' does anyone
have an idea, or a lead? Thank you very much for your help!
