Shortage solution update by
Steven Cook
So, into the store Bert and I walked and the one lady from the other night
greeted me very warmly, as did the two other workers, and the second lady
from the other night was busy. But, the first lady remembered that I had
been in buying reds for "the neatest project" and came right over to...

Baseball swap sign-ups by
Kay Ahr
Boo, hoo!! This is one of those things I've decided to drop since my income
is dropping and I still have medical bills to pay from January. Had to make
some hard decisions. As of tomorrow I will be RETIRED!! (No this is not an
April Fool's joke.) Maybe next year -- as I see how the budget...

Quilting again after a long break by
Jenn in Tacoma
After about two years of neglecting my quilting, I'm back to it! since
we bought our house and moved in October (our very first home of our
own!) I have actually had more time in the day. We got rid of a LOT of
stuff in the move, and the result was less to take care of, a more
organized...

Abigail's Scrappy Tumbler Quilt by
R. E. Wicker
I have just receive a call from Abigail (one of my granddaughters)
telling me her beautiful quilt has arrived at her home in CT. She is
a college student and she has waited and waited for this day. Even
though the temps in CT aren't right for a quilt she and my daughter
Christine were curled up...

Cool Garage sale find by
Roberta
My mother, daughters and I have made it sort of a tradition to "do" garage
sales in the wee hours of the morning. I shop mostly for clothing - for the
girls. Today I happened upon a really cool thing :)
I found a quilt hanger - not sure what else to call it.
It is very long and has little knobs...

Hanging Wild Quilt by
Joan
I did too want to make the queen size quilt. I did. Only....only after I
began and I saw what it looked like, I had some doubts. Oh, all right, I
had more than a few doubts, but I plunged ahead. Oh, well, it kept my mind
off the election and Popser had something to write about.

Fat Quarter Quilting Book by
Boca Jan
Can anyone recommend a good fat quarter quilting book? I have several
bunches of matching fat quarters and think I could make a nice quilt out of
each, but I'm too lazy this close to Christmas to design them myself.
Thanks!

Minkee, minkee,minkee by
MoragP
The minkee arrived a few minutes ago. It's purple, very plushy like a super
velvet, very soft, very drapey.
I only took it out of the box to look at it and I'm covered with little shreds
of purple.
The back is a slippery acetate, I think. I can't imagine using this as a quilt
backing. There are...

Jill Pochik
I wanted to thank everyone who can sent me their scraps and unwanted
fabrics. Because of you, I was able to provide over 100 small quilts to
homeless dogs, cats and even rabbits at several rescues this weekend.
You all should be proud of yourselves for helping to make so many
rescued animals a...

Squished! and after S.E.X. by

Found a lovely yellow with blue posies fabric in my mailbox today. Thanks
Lorraine. I'd just gotten back from a visit to TSWLTH with a friend to get
some stuff to go with a baby quilt I have in process. I, of course, ended
up with enough to make several baby quilts plus a full-size one. Used...

For 6 years, Jim and I have been enjoying theatrical productions at a
local community theater. These are amateur performances with
professional quality, all volunteer run. The theater needs a new roof.
They're fundraising. They've asked for donations for a fund raising
auction. The information...

wedding quilt question by
Queen of Squishies
Has anyone done the Judy's Fancy pattern before? Is it safe to cut all the
pieces before I start sewing? It's my tendency to do so, but then, I've
never made a quilt from a pattern before. I just sort of wing it. But this
one is different. Thanks!
